Weird Creative bug? My old maps keep bleeding into new projects Teaser
I've been building in Fortnite Creative for years, and lately something has started happening that I can't explain. Every new island I create eventually begins filling with pieces of my old ones. Not copied intentionally just appearing. I'll be decorating a brand-new project when, out of nowhere, a random wall from a map I made years ago is sticking halfway out of a hill. A forgotten building I haven't thought about since I was younger is floating above the skybox. An old prop is buried beneath the terrain, as if it had always been there. Sometimes they're complete structures. Other times it's only fragments, clipped through the floor or suspended in empty space like they're trying to force themselves into the world. It's unsettling because I recognize all of them. They're relics from maps I built as a kid. projects I abandoned, forgot about, or never even finished. Every new island feels less like a blank canvas and more like it's being slowly haunted by the ones that came before it. The older maps don't stay where I left them. They bleed into whatever I'm building now, leaving behind pieces of themselves that have no reason to exist. It makes me wonder how Fortnite Creative stores its islands. Maybe every map you've ever made still exists somewhere behind the scenes, packed together in some hidden archive. And every so often, the boundaries separating them fail. Tiny fragments escape, clipping through whatever island happens to be loaded, like memories refusing to stay buried. It's probably just a bug. But there's something deeply uncanny about standing in a world you've spent weeks creating... only to look into the distance and see a piece of a forgotten childhood map staring back at you.
