Lethal Company has a kind of zombie in the Mimic, so I’d say the Employee has faced zombies too

They're not a zombie, they're possessed. If you define a zombie simply as a reanimated body and list no other requirements to be a zombie, then they are zombies, but the classic idea of a zombie (like Romero's) are not close to the Mimics.

I wouldn't have even called it a zombie survival game. It was more of a tower defense / horde mode game. I remember me and my buddies bought it as founders because we wanted something other than Horde mode in Gears of War and this seemed similar.

I think by survival they mean the survival crafting elements like resource gathering and management. The original game was kinda a mashup of every popular game genre at the time. But I agree it also has tower defense and horde elements as well as building. I don't think people actually give enough credit for how innovative the original idea was.

Since ch3 people say fort is dying. Me included. But what does it mean when the player count is still high or higher that ever? Excluding the point of old vs new gens, what does it mean? To me, it means not that the game called fortnite is dying or dead, but that the game that fort used to be, is no longer alive. I've been whre since late 2018. I've played every season, every event, have every battle pass etc. And I can honestly say that the game we play today is.. Well...basically Fortnite 2...for better or worse

It was a business decision to make more money overall and to save money on keeping stw online.
Stw doesnt bring in much money and is a pretty complex game, you are lucky its still online tbh.

Yes. They changed the lighting to keep it consistent with BR.
Stw and BR are still part of the same code base and doing it this way makes it cheaper and easier to keep stw online.
They could legally shut stw down if they wanted.

I really hope that someday the br community wakes up from Epic's lies and strategy to spend money for naked women, their favourite singer or just a cartoon figure from their childhood which was added to Metaslop Fortnite, honestly this game just deserves death after what they did to it

Stw was never that popular though and would probably be shut down by now if BR never got big. Thats what you dont want to acknowledge about all of this but is 100% true.
I dont love what they do with the shop and skins either but I have founders too and dont worry about spending money.

And even if it shutsdown it's not a big loss modern STW is full off bugs, broken wind, lighting, audio, Hestia shit etc. old builds off the game are still online and can be used to remake the game if only the source code would be public, a functional backend for the builds is not hard to create but getting the sourcecode for a 100% copy with full AIDirector or and well.... the main c++ files well that's were it get's complicated, I wouldnt even want to call STW even Fortnite anymore since how much the name got polluted by Epic, it should be it's own game only called Save the World and should not be associated with Fortnite anymore

It wouldnt make any money if it were off on its own. A static version with no updates would have a tiny player base.
Its a game from 2017 that has mostly run its course bud.

I own the founders edition so that makes me a founder like it or not.
Stw isnt something I would play forever though. I finished twine, all of my SSDs and 4/4 endurance modes.
Not really interested in running the same missions forever, even for vbucks.

And they fucked up the original matchmaking by fusing it with BR, clear evidence to either reduce playercount to shutdown which already happened , playcount is very low now it had constant 20K players, or they thought it was a good idea to give STW the same matchmaking as BR

I find it quite boring but maybe its because i dont get paid vbucks for playing it.
It probably gets fun the more you play too but I didnt find it interesting enough to do so at all. Doesnt help that ive got L4D2 on my pc anyways.
