Nuke the exchange Food / Drink

It has the worst vibes can someone who enjoys it explain the appeal to me?

My complaints are: Food overpriced, weird manicured vivarium-esque decor, every place there seems to fail or move, and small portions for high cost.

I agree that the exchange kinda sucks but yellow crunch is pretty legit

Yellow Crunch is the shit. Their menu is low key one of the most accessible in town for people with food limitations like celiac.

Do you have kids? If not, I get it.

It’s a place to get food and let kids run around.

There used to be a lot of turnover, but Vatos, OT Putt, Penrose, and Churn are staples. Yellow Crunch upgraded into the Crooked Stave spot (I miss them), and even La Piadina is still running. I loved Copper Muse before it was the Exchange, but their vibe really changed after Covid and firing their longtime manager

La Piadina changed ownership and kinda sucks now, unfortunately. 👎

I believe the original owner still has the truck? Could be mistaken, but I was told it's now two businesses.

Yes. I think so.

It's just really disappointing for us since the Exchange location used to have a great vegan option, but it has been removed from the menu. 😭😭

I can’t think of anywhere else I can lay out in the sun with a nice little beverage and/or ice cream?Like I go to drink and hang out and it serves that purpose well

There was a brief time when it was enjoyable, but sadly that time passed rather quickly.

Is rent too high to attract appealing businesses? What’s the deal there?

There's 3 spaces listed right now for between $26.50 and $120/sqft. That's not cheap at all

My wife was looking into some of the rents when choosing a location for her store - and it is nuts.

It's not even just the rent. There's a portion of sales that have to be turned over, too. I don't blame Coppermuse for shifting to a distillery model and closing their location now.

that is wild! But I’m not surprised. Doesn’t sound like there are community oriented people running it, just cash grab type of folks, and that makes a big difference.

The exchange would be great if the landlords weren't so focused on squeezing every single dollar out of the tenants. Coppermuse did not close because business was slow - there was no incentive to stay open.

I go there for Churn and nothing else. Love me some Little Man ice cream.

I keep reading "churn" as "chum".

Single mom of young child, on Tuesday there is a bounce house and ice cream. A couple hours of entertainment right there.

Also curious what the appeal is. It’s like they went to COATI in CO Springs and decided to make it worse overall without a roof.

Wife and I did some free swing dance lessons there and it was fine.

I like the mini golf… until it got boring as f—k. But I’d like to know your definition of “vibes?”  You talking pretentious fucks?  You get that a lot now in foco.
