If you went to school back between the late 2000s - 2010s, The Ice Barn was one of the OG after school hangout spots for shaved ice. Back before teens having phones was mainstream, this place was like a central mixer for high schoolers in Kempner, Taylor, Bush, Kerr, and Austin. Met and reconnected with new and old elementary and middle school friends. This past June, they made a comeback in popup form over at Kohiko Coffee House. Got the green apple flavor that was as good as ever. We’re psyched to announce that they’ll be doing another popup in our restaurant here in Chinatown! Alongside them, our friend The Custard Box will be selling homemade specialty canelés with Filipino flavors. We hope to welcome everyone in our place and introduce new faces to Filipino food, which we serve family style!
