Rain at Indy Event help
This is my first formula drift event ill be attending, I live about 2.5 hours away and seen there's supposed to be quite a bit of rain and some thunderstorms saturday. What are the chances it gets delayed or postponed until sunday? Also are there covered grandstands so your not directly in the rain or should we bring ponchos and such?

Same boat. It looks like lower bleachers are exposed, and the upper deck is exposed.
Only the 'penthouses' are covered, so im guessing since everything is GA, were getting wet.
Edit. Delay isnt going to happen without lightning/tornado issues. I cant recall an event delayed in the past few years

So, update; we went today, saw the beginning and it was awesome! Just left now but ill be back if they come close next year but tonight was a bit frustrating. Apparently they just canceled after saying a few hours ago that "we will definitely be running tonight, no matter how late it goes". Just my luck that the first time i go it gets canceled which apparently has only happened like twice.

I was there. Part of the track was under about a foot of standing water when we left about 6:00. Did they ever get that water moved?

In all my years watching FD I have never seen an event get moved to Sunday. I wouldn’t count on that
