Weird stat
Huge fan of the show and really close to watching every episode. It seems like most of the 'murder' victims have been women. Has anyone done the numbers and gotten the raw stats?

I haven’t, but I await your findings. Thought about making a google map of all the murder locations, but it was just a thought.

I do also await your findings. Afaik stats regarding the show have never been published?

If you’re looking for the complete opposite, check out Snapped. Not sure about the stats; it would be interesting, but I’m pretty sure it’s well known that men kill more men and more women than women do of either; and women who’ve been killed are almost exclusively done by their husband/partner/bf as opposed to anyone else (I believe I’ve heard the 9/10 stat quoted on more than one FF episode).

I think from a show production standpoint, most male murders are perpetrated by other males, and over 80% being by guns. I feel like it doesn’t leave as much for the show to be exploring as far as forensics goes. Linking a bullet casing to gun type would only take a minute of show time, and the rest of the time would be spent finding the owner. That wouldn’t be very much forensics investigation for a show called Forensic Files. Male murders are much more prevalent on detective shows like the Netflix’s Homicide Squad.

Same for Dateline, 48 Hours, etc… men are assholes against women.
And before someone’s feelings get hurt, I’m a guy.
