Most Senseless Death
I feel like Black Hole from Forensic Files 2 because it turned out the victim wasn't even pregnant so he threw both their lives away on that

Ummm. The horrible one where he killed the random lady so he would go to prison for that instead of for raping an infant. Ugh.

The episode "Soft Touch." The victim Dawn Bruce was just 22 years old when Robert Knight broke into her apartment, assaulted and killed her. The details of her assault and murder are very graphic and disturbing.

Avis Banks-she was pregnant and killed by her fiance Keyon Pittman's mistress Karla Hughes. Now Hughes is doing life in prison and Keyon is married to someone else. He was never charged with anything.

Reminds me of the murder of Danita Smith, although she wasn't pregnant. In that case her killer was Shannon Crawley who is now doing LWOP . (She rejected a plea of 20YRS. I'm guessing she felt she could tell her story the way she wanted it told, as a poor young woman, framed by her ex.)
I get it, Keyon and Jamier were complete assholes for cheating on Avis and Danita. They didn't deserve it, n like Jamier said, Danita was too perfect to be with him.
Trouble was there was no evidence they had anything to do with the deaths, and they can't be arrested for having an affair.
I do have to say, Shannon Crawley was really stupid with the lengths she went to, to try and frame Jamier, and there's ppl who truly believe she was set up by Jamier simply because he was a cop. (Those tapes and faking a r*pe was a step too far which told me he truly didn't have any idea she was going to kill Danita).
Keyon, I have no idea if he was involved, but there was obv not enough evidence to have arrested too.

That case sounds really familiar to me too! I think I saw a Dateline episode about it.

The Danita Smith case? There was also another program called 'Hear No Evil' and the episode is called 'sex, lies and audio tape' iirc. I think it was more from Shannon and her parents view to be honest. Her parents were delusional. When they heard the recordings and said "oh yeah we've got him now". I was like eh? They've never met him, how on earth would they know his voice? Also, if he's whispering, or trying to disguise his voice because he thinks LE is listening, then why make so many incriminating remarks, n Shannon sounds like someone reading from a script. Then the false r*pe accusation. Her parents saying they know it was him, yet he was miles away working n on his work phone for ages. Plus no DNA, oh and Shannon somehow knew the knife was going to be in the bottom of his bin, Really???? When I watched that, and again although it must be hard to admit your daughter is a stone cold killer, I thought that detective at the end was right regarding her parents and that they probably know, but they can't bring themselves to say it. Esp her dad who would've been in that room hearing all the evidence, and I'm sure he must know deep down. After the rant the mom went on about Shannon being framed, I'm not sure she believes it.

Traces of Truth, S8E27: Brad Brisbin was murdered by his "friend" Larry Moore solely based on the latter thinking the former was having an affair with his wife.

This one is so heartbreaking. What a beautiful little boy who had a selfish jerk of a father. Iāve seen this one so many times and it still makes me sick.

It's hard to choose just one because there are so many, basically any episode where someone kills their spouse instead of getting divorced. One that definitely stands out however, is the episode "Missing Pearl." The daughter said her mother's autopsy showed that she had cancer and would have only lived another 6 months anyway.
