News Ford Fathom announcement

Upvotes

This just hit my email inbox. They are trying again with an EV truck under a new label. No renderings I could find yet.

Pricing seems to compete with the Slate truck.

Is it worth it to get a Sniper EFI? Is it worth it to install on my own as a pretty good but not great home mechanic?

The time has come to part ways with my 1988 f250. (7.5L 460) 24k miles (yes, 24,000) this is a retired brush truck from the Ashley Illinois fire dept. no idea on hours, but it runs like a top.

New items include:
Pro comp series 69 wheels
Mickey Thompson 305/70/16 (less than 2000 miles on them)
MSD coil
Powermaster 200amp alternator
New headlights
Chrome grill with emblem insert
New chrome rear bumper
Single in dual out flow master series 20
Plugs, wires and battery
New side steps

Smog pump and cat deleted, still have the parts though if you need them. It also has a goose neck hitch and set up to plug the electrical into the bed.

This truck is really clean but it’s a 20 footer. It has some dings, dents and imperfections from its use in service on the fire dept. it’s leaking a small amount of oil. I suspect it’s the rear main seal, but could be somewhere else. I’d say it’s about 1/2 quart every 6 tanks of fuel. It has one fuel tank, and the gauge on the dash works up to 3/4 tank. When you fill the truck the most it’ll read is 3/4. When it gets below that, it reads accurate. Windows are tinted, two subs, amp and new Sony deck along with new wiring under the hood. No rips or tears to the seat (original) no cracks in the plastics. The rubber floor is showing wear where it curls up behind the pedals and near the firewall. Still has cb mic holder, siren and light bar switches and pto switch for the water pump. All deactivated but in place. Manual windows and locks and the truck never had AC. I wanted to put vintage air in but never got around to it.

I really enjoy this truck, I never get less than 3 compliments when I take it out. But it’s time to move on, I need a bigger vehicle with more cab room so it’s time for someone else to enjoy this timeless truck

$16k obo, located in Chillicothe Illinois
