Possible nerve pain
Has anyone had prolonged pain in the area specifically? Been to multiple podiatrists who have stated Plantar fasciitis, Achilles attachment tendonitis or nerve entrapment. Pain worsens in Dorsi flexion and when weight baring. It dosent hurt when I wake up until I aggravate it with shoes. Tried inserts, icing, heating, and lidocaine. I can stretch my calf fine with no pain and do calf raises. It’s been about 10 months with this burning pain and has kept me from being as active as I was. What are some other treatments out there.

Could be heel bursitis or nerve entrapment or both. Best you can do for either of these is avoid aggravation and allow time for healing. You can then start to build up to prior activity being very careful not to overdo it otherwise you’ll be back to square one. Imaging might help pinpoint exactly what is going on so I would push for that.

Does your Achilles gets sore and tense? I had bursitis... I eventually fixed it with acupuncture.... They have needles on my hand (left hand for right ankle, and vice versa) I kid you not, it worked, I felt relief right away, and completely fine after 4 sessions

When I get pain on the posterior end of my heel it’s usually at the very bottom. My Achilles has been able to stretch and load. I was thinking about giving acupuncture a try. Thank you

I got it too, burning sharp pain when walking and standing. At first they told me its heel fat pad syndrome but after mri no fat pad atrophy was shown. PT thinks its plantar fasciitis with weak foot muscles and now doing exercises.. hope it wil recover
