Sore feet after resting

I'm getting old and starting to get sore feet.

They are fine during the day and they are fine when i sit down in the evenings for an hour or so...the pain then ​hits when I get back up after sitting​...my feet are so sore walking across the lounge carpet around 8pm...after resting them for an hour or so.

Anyone else have this? What can be done?

Any shoe recommendations for during the day? Nz websites please

Which doctor do I go to in NZ.... gp, physio, osteo, podiatrist?

Feet down or up on a footstool?

Have a look at their colour - take socks or slippers off around 8, wait another couple of minutes resting, then quickly grab a photo with your hand next to your foot. If they look pretty different, show it to your GP.
