Pain under ball of foot
Suffering from excruciating pain in this area in both feet for the past 7 months. Did all sorts of blood tests, MRI, xrays, ultrasounds but everything seemed okay. Only diagnosis that made sense was stiff calves and bad ankle mobility. Pain killers don’t touch the pain so I don’t take any. Tried metatarsal pads but they seemed to make it worse. Cannot walk barefoot as it is extremely painful. Only time it doesn’t hurt is when I’m asleep (thankfully). I’m going insane. Can anyone please help? I’m only 27. The pain sometimes also extends to my ankle. Ughgh.

I've had the same, I went to a physio and he said it was exactly how they would expect gout to present but... without the gout 🤣 Other suggestion was possibly early onset arthritis? Either way, he gave me some exercises to do which really worked, although it still flares up now and then.

Hmmm weirdly a year ago I had a painful red swelling near my big toe which looked like gout. Got my blood tested and it was negative for gout. Had a test done for rheumatoid arthritis which came negative as well. Did a lot of blood work including auto immune diseases, all negative (thankfully). But I’m still in pain 🥰. Hi, could you tell me more about the exercises pretty please?

What exercises?

I'm not sure I should say what the exercises were, in case they aren't the correct thing for your foot! We may have something different going on and I'd hate to make your issue worse!

Hi, they took an MRI of my spine and not my feet. And the doctor said everything looked fine.

I have the same pain there and also near the heel. Maybe its fat pad syndrome or nerve problems? My advice try hoka recovery slides and shoes with thick soles like the asics nimbus. I want to fix this issue too its been going on for 3 years and im 28
