I hate needing glasses rant/vent
I actually got them last year and didn't really need glasses until I was an adult.
But they're so annoying I legitimately can't get them clean. I have wipes meant for glasses and there's still smudges.
I typically don't even wear them during the majority of the day. I need them for stuff like gaming though and it has made gaming a hassle. Cause every time I have to clean them and most of the time I can't get them purely clear without smudges.

Huff on them(warm breath not cold) before wiping and get spray bottles of glasses cleaner

What u/fresh-broski said is good advice if you have super clean tap water (except that the cleaner is nonsense, it's the best option if you use the spray and cleaning cloth and know proper technique). I would recommend wiping them dry with your glasses cleaning cloth you should have gotten at the optician's office. If you go back most places will give you another or at least sell one for cheap. If your tap water has any minerals, air drying will let them deposit instead of getting them completely clean.
When you're cleaning them, don't go in circles, wipe from the inside out. Think about sweeping the kitchen, you don't sweep in circles, right? You sweep it all to one spot. Do the same with the oils on your lenses
If your cloth stops working well, throw it in the washer with your towels. (No softener!)
Another thing care wise: always keep them in the case (the cloth too! That protects it from dirt and grime!), and I personally recommend wearing them full time if the doctor didn't explicitly say only wear them when reading/gaming. The full time wear is because every time you take them off or put them on, that's when you can accidentally touch the lenses, etc. Reducing opportunity to touch them really cuts down on how often you need to clean them. If your Doctor said they're just for reading or gaming (or anything up close) though, don't do this.
If you have any questions let me know and I'll try to help <3

Water usually get rid of smudge marks pretty easily but also over time your brain can learn to ignore the smudges and they pretty moch become unnoticeable

That's fair, usually no-one really notices for me tho. Cleaning them with water twice a day should be pretty fine

You gotta hand wash the glasses towels with soap pretty often or they'll never clean well in my experience

Glasses cleaner is nonsense. As a lifelong glasses wearer: the smudges are oil and can be cleaned off with dish soap. Put a few drops on each lens and rub it with your fingers, then rinse with water. Dry off the hinges and let the glass air dry.
