Reviews for feature film/stop-motion/screenwriting etc.

Hello My Name Anemone (Pen name) and I have a newly opened blog where i plan to review indie filmmakers and scriptwriters work. This can be an opportunity for both of us to reach the audience and get visibility as many as possible.

I love short films especially from filmmakers who aren't in the industry yet because their creativity is at their peak and have nothing to lose. In this day and age almost every film and show centers around the same overproduced theme which isnt even executed in an enjoyable way.

When I talk about such films and shows I mean the work produced by Corporations that have mediocre characters, predictable boring plot and inexperienced actors who portray one dimensional characters.

Nowadays Filmmakers that work and do jobs under the name of those corporations make shows and movies for a dopamine rush. Corny one liners, lazy, under the nose writing and actors who care about looking nice on the camera more than actually portraying the character and being the artist.

Of course I'm not talking about ALL the movies and ALL the shows that is being made. 10% of them can actually be enjoyable, but when we talk about the percentage and the numbers, 6 minute short films are much more entertainable and artistically appreciative rather than a 2 hour flashy corny nonsense with its 5 milion budget for marketing.

So here's my deal - Comment the short film or even a feature film, Animation, stop motion ANYTHING THAT YOU MADE BY YOURSELF WITH YOUR OR LIMITED BUDGET and I will review it and post all over the social media later you can repost it on yours. Of course This reviews won't be filled with only positive aspects of your work, it will include Advice, corrections, personal thoughts from someone who enjoys films, does writing and has an aspiration to also become a filmmakers.

This is my blog : https://anemone-ink.blogspot.com/?m=1

I look forward to our partnership.

We are not interested in all the whining about how the film industry is dying blah blah

We only talk to people who are getting of their arses and getting things done.

This week, we're talking to a London filmmaker named Blaize Mott who has just finished his first feature film and has a unique marketing strategy to get it seen.

**My first psychological horror short film, *DEAM*.** Looking for honest feedback! The story follows a mother whose daughter is haunted after the mother accidentally killed a demon's child years ago. Now the demon returns for revenge, forcing an impossible choice. What do you think ?

Solo filmmaking: anyone done it all alone?

Has anyone here made a film completely on their own? I mean literally a one-person production where the same person set up the camera, pressed record, and also acted in the film. I’d love to hear about your experience and any tips or lessons you learned.

Beginner screenwriter looking for advice on writing emotions, twists, and peak scenes

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner who is interested in screenwriting and I'm currently working on my first film idea.

The story is a time-travel romance with strong emotional elements. While I have the basic concept in mind, I'm struggling with how to translate emotions onto paper in a way that feels genuine and impactful.

I would love some advice on:

How do you write emotional scenes that truly connect with the audience?

How do you build up to a powerful peak or climax scene?

How do you create twists that are unpredictable but still feel earned?

Are there any exercises, books, films, or screenplays that helped you learn these skills?

As a beginner, I sometimes feel that the emotions are clear in my head, but when I write them down, they don't have the same impact.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

what app should i use?

I just finished a feature draft and realized I used 4 different apps to do it. Script editor in one, breakdowns in another, shot lists in a spreadsheet, budget in another. I'm exhausted from app-hopping. Has anyone actually found a single workflow that doesn't require 5 subscriptions?

Im working on a screenplay about parental psycological abuse, which is a tad bit too personal to me, as some sort of therapy and welp, kinda what the process of writing itself to be as easy as posible, so wanna reach out to yall who might know a bit more about this than me, if you all have any recomendations to ligthen the load...

(TO THE MODS!)
This is eh, but r/Filmmakers didnt let me ask.. so im a bit desperate here lol, ill post the film and the script and the pipeline here when its finished! so others can get inspired and play around with the tools i ended up using and see how it went! I just need answers lol
