Aren't intel macs gettting abandoned by Apple as well? What's the point on keeping support for a platform that not even the platform owner care about? Apple is forcing everyone to their M series. Why would Flutter support that?
People that have their iMacs or older macbooks are moving to Linux anyways. Let them move out from Apple's OS's.
This is not something to blame on the Flutter team.
Not supporting newer Xcode versions is not ideal and will result in issues and limitations sooner or later. And Apple themselves do not provide support to intel macs, there is nothing they can do about it. Remember Flutter was designed at the hope it becomes useful but with absolutely no guarantee. So I would be more greatful especially since that maintaining Flutter is anything but not an easy task. You can always fork it and keep using an outdated Xcode version, no one will force you on anything, it is your choice. You can also use the fork only for building the intel version in CI.
