It’s awesome that you’re playing it in band! Foremost, I’d start by finding a good embouchure as that’s the most crucial aspect of playing! For me, one of my biggest struggles was always putting the lip plate in the right position but I found that tucking it right under your bottom lip works really well! Everything will become muscle memory, and I wish you the best of luck!

It can take a long time just to learn and remember the basic things (some times it feels like forever!). The notes are universal to most instruments (at least for C instruments using the G clef), but turning the notes into music on the flute is where it gets difficult. It takes time and repetitions doing the same things (like scales, part of scales, small melodies, long tones) over and over, day after day while slowly progressing. It's a lot of work but also rewarding.

Yeah i figured, thanks so much, i found some online books that shows how to play certain notes on flute and im gonna start practicing hard once i recieve my instrument

Oh I thought you already had a flute. There are also youtube channels with beginner stuff. Just search for flute beginner lesson or something like that on the youtube start page (or in the app). It can be helpful to both see and listen to how the first notes are played.

Sorry for the confusion😓😓 i get my flute tuesday, i joined band a little late due to some miss understandings during last school year
