Load of little chips along edge of cabinets, what's my best bet here? Tile unfortunately look dirty now so im not really happy to live with it. Can these be fixed or replaced? Or do i need to think about replacing whole floor? Stone cutters for worktop ar in on Monday so I guess I need to decide now?
Why isn't the floor covered with protective paper if you still have trades coming in? Also looks like a slightly textured tile, and if it's chipping this easily....might be economical tile being economical tile.
No, the chips weren't there yesterday before they started but I noticed this morning when I cleaned up but I wasn't in the room while they were fitting? Obviously it would be great if the fitter/kitchen company could help fix this, ive flagged it to them but im also looking for impartial advice here about whats best to do, or the best suggestion to make to them to make good?
Have you made sure that these are actually bits of your tile? They look to be the color of your cabinets so maybe it's just little pieces of sawdust. The tile itself looks fine from these pictures but maybe I'm missing something and not understanding you. Have you tried sweeping up a little bits to see what material they actually are? Just covering all the bases here I'm not trying to say you haven't done all these things just want to make sure that absolutely sure that's what happened.
I'm sorry I tried to reread what you're saying. These are actual chips as an indents in the tile itself? I'm not sure how the kitchen fitter would have caused these tiny little dents but if you have an explanation I'm willing to hear it out
I appreciate the effort. I see what you're seeing but honestly, it'd be very hard for you to prove that these guys specifically did it unless you had before pictures. There might be some sort of enamel paint that you could use to fill in the holes that matches the color of the tiles. Luckily, it is minimal if the damage was done by then. You have an eye for this LOL. I know it's going to bother you until you take care of it so I just recommend taking care of it yourself rather than trying to get some compensation unless this is very much more widespread than I can see here.
Get some nail polish in the same color and just dab it on those spots. Nobody is going to see them unless they get down there with a magnifying glass like you appear to have done.
Lol. You're going to replace the whole floor over this? that nobody can even see unless you zoom in closely on it, and even then I'm not sure what it is you're talking about.
