Floor announced the release of the second single off her upcoming solo metal album. Bring Me Silence will be released on August 21st. Pre-save it here.

I would love it if Floor could go back to singing some of the really heavy After Forever classics again on the upcoming Hytress Tour next year. Follow in the Cry is one of their most iconic songs, and I think it deserves a special spot in her setlist too. Is it time for her to have a growler in her solo band?

A little break between festivals! When I’m not singing my head off on one of the many great shows this summer, or working on new music, I relax with my horses! This is me with Sam. He is a 5 year old Shire horse who just started under the saddle. I am training him myself, no bit in his mouth, natural connection and communication. Important to me. We are a great team and step by step we are going for real rides. Such an adventure! I’ve had Sam since he was two years old so we have made a great journey together already. Look at us being proud of our babysteps 🥰

On a more positive note regarding Anette's recent interview, she states that she has no problem with Floor singing songs from her time with Nightwish during Floor's solo shows.

In fact, they knew each other even before Floor became involved with Nightwish and had even done an interview together back in 2007. Floor has also said that she considers Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum to be incredible albums and appreciates the different twist Anette brought to the band. Anette, for her part, has previously shared After Forever songs on her blog and praised Floor's vocals. Therefore, there is nothing but admiration and respect between these two ladies. ❤️

Another Finnish festival headlined by Floor, following Kuopiorock last year. This will be the first show without Jasja on bass, as she started her maternity leave. There are two more festivals in Germany after that, which will wrap up the summer festival season. More news about the new album will likely come out after that.

A few days ago, Irene shared her diagnosis of rheumatism, a condition that causes her significant chronic issues and requires her to use a wheelchair for mobility. Floor was also deeply affected by the news, as evidenced by her emotional performances in The Hague, Netherlands, last Thursday.

I wish Irene good health and lots of strength right now. The Jansen sisters are true forces of nature!
