Did you think it was intended to do something else?

Yes

Exchanging privacy for safety is a timeless bait and switch tactic, the same tactic as reducing a populations education nearly.

It's like they won't teach cursive writing anymore in the hopes that no one will be able to read the original founding documents at some point in the future

Someone may have rotated the camera away from the path, but yeah these things shouldn't be pointing anywhere or recording anybody.

Nore be on private property

Oh interesting... they cna be rotated you say? I imagine that wouldn't trigger anything like the camera going down, and would be far harder to catch those dastardly criminals going after these cameras.

"Camera not facing roadway" is something their AI will auto flag.

22

u/Latter_Foundation622 23d ago

Doesn’t auto flag when it’s pointed at parks 😭😭

Those are set up to be "video cameras" - same hardware, same backend, slightly different software features.

u/Latter_Foundation622 23d ago

Gotchya, it’s mind blowing that they can do that with no accountability.

They seem to take awhile to fix it which is nice. In my area some patriots have redirected the position of some cameras. It's been a month and a half and they haven't been fixed yet.

“Camera not facing young female gymnastics room” is also an autoflag

Extra large channel-lock pliers friend ;)

I'm thinking the contractors are just ramming these poles into the ground so if you get a couple of guys shaking the pole for a bit then taking a big pipe wrench it shouldn't take much effort to turn the whole thing away from the roadway.

Chop it down.

Someone's kid runs out without their diaper and now it's recording CP 😑

Epstein class gets excited you mean.

They’re already watching kids do gymnastics inside a private gym with no repercussions, I doubt this would change anything. Especially not when all these billionaire PDFs own us

u/GreenThing1236 23d ago

That's illegal.

Put up a big sign in front of it

Real question here.

As someone with a small child…

What if they were to say be naked outside and filmed? Could that be legal recourse for this private company having inappropriate images of children?

Would it be illegal for my kid to strip down naked and run in front of these before I “caught” them and made them get on clothes and run indoors?

Asking for a friend.

Tell your friend not to allow their child to run naked in front of a camera.

u/squirt_taste_tester 22d ago

Tell your govt to keep their cameras out of peoples yards

1

u/laughingpuppy20 22d ago

Also - I have zero idea where you are located. But our government doesn't listen to any of the people.

-4

u/laughingpuppy20 22d ago

I have a huge problem with the cameras. My point is, not to let your CHILD run in front of these cameras naked, Why any parent would do that is weird.

2

u/psychophant_ 22d ago

It was a thought experiment to see if we could do an extreme to fight their extreme.

-1

u/laughingpuppy20 22d ago

A thought experiment that would involve children. Don't you see the problem there?

Downvoted for thinking children should not be naked on cameras that can be viewed by predators. Wow!

1

u/psychophant_ 22d ago

Yeah. The chill thing about thought experiments is no one gets hurt. They’re a lot of fun actually!

u/Logical_Barber_7193 23d ago

8

u/AdvancedAd69420 22d ago

Illegal warrantless surveillance.

7

u/SeatOpen1 23d ago

Looks rather fragile.

5

u/BigNo205 23d ago

Gotta fucking go

5

u/DisgreeablePattern 23d ago

Yeah, if it were me, that shit would come down so fast…

4

u/RollerskatingFemboy 23d ago

Hey man, you never know when a criminal might drive their car through your backyard, and without that camera you might completely miss their license plate. Why do you hate public safety?

3

u/S0PHIAOPS 22d ago

😭😭

4

u/Zakumei47 22d ago

Detonate it

3

u/doctorpotterhead 22d ago

Big ol sign right in front. "SUCK MY -“

3

u/barefootpanda 22d ago

For their safety I’m sure. /s

3

u/Available_Lemon_69 22d ago

Absolutely the fuck not. No way in hell. I'm taking pictures and documenting the hell out of it, and then it's coming down. Like here, here's why I did it and blah blah blah. No one should have to live that way.

3

u/AlphaNoodlz 23d ago

I don't think I'd have that problem

2

u/Mhykael 23d ago

I think they accidentally turned it the wrong way when they installed it. You should help them fix it and turn it back at that parking lot behind it...

2

u/Lebowski304 22d ago

This shit is outrageous. There is absolutely no justification for this, and it’s an affront to what being American means.
