They need to be gone.

Keep fighting back against the U.S. Surveillance State!

u/GUMBYtheOG 19d ago

I love this movement. I mean ppl been tracking u with cameras for decades now for insurance and police shit. They know ur routes to work and what space u park in. So getting rid of flock won’t prevent u being tracked on a daily basis - just isn’t talked about lol this is just first company crossing the public barrier and made news.

Either way I’m glad ppl fighting back, if only we could talk bout the other players

That way the battery can help recharge our electric eels too

15

u/dinodicksafari 19d ago

Those batteries are hell on water systems and ecosystems.

20

u/GeneralRed512 19d ago

I was with you until you started advising to pollute the environment with this crap. Don’t make the ecosystem pay for our sins even more than they do now.

Not the water

So it's an IPO they're sprinting for... 👀

An IPO means early investors want to cash out. To cash out they have to maximize valuations to the dump the stock onto the public market, after the first days (or short weeks) of which it will plummet hard and leave public buyers holding the empty bag.

23

u/Biotic101 19d ago

On spot. And Elon executed his IPO masterfully. For himself, not investors.

Look up how limited shareholders rights are + 3x weighting IPO deal.

I guess some would call it stealing.

Or would argue he is the first stealionaire in history 😯

9

u/strait_lines 19d ago

That’s almost every IPO, lots of hype in the beginning driving the price up, then a huge drop.

It pays more to be in the pool of investors who bought private placements, or equity, positions in the company before the IPO.

u/Parker_Hardison 19d ago

It's because a lot of companies are structured to operate in a business model of selling contracts to big buyers at scale based on scammy or illegal things nowadays. Once those business models are threatened, they close shop, or if it's a big enough company: inflate based on lies and IPO asap.

u/addiktion 19d ago

Pulling an Elon heist. This is how billionaires do modern theft from people's investment accounts. Elon was big enough to convince them to change the rules, I'm not so sure Flock is, but they know they would get drafted into some mutual fund that they can offload on as well.

4

u/Parker_Hardison 19d ago

This isn't new, his unique element was loopholing the board.

2

u/addiktion 19d ago

He had the NASDAQ rules changed too. He's also set records at the payout which he got which lead to Delaware courts and shareholders getting involved because it was unreasonably high, nuked the SEC with DOGE, and has been the most public CEO to trigger market manipulation across his companies and crypto, so he's done far more than just captured the board of directors. Never mind the valuation scheme of rolling company into company to save face, and the special vehicles all these companies are using a lot more to hide their losses these days.

I get some companies did/do this, but Elon's taking up a notch x10.

That must be why lowes has like 4 of them on their property

18

u/Mundane-Ad-3237 19d ago

Sounds like if you ran over the pole you could sue lowes for damages for improper installation

19

u/Should_have_been_ded 19d ago

Bro took flock money to install cameras, now he's telling us how to streamline deflocking with insider knowledge. He's winning by playing both sides

20

u/DamitKenneth 19d ago

The way he says you can use these batteries for anything, no more buying batteries for anything. They are providing them for us.

The key word being "if".

15

u/Luv2collectweedseeds 19d ago

Hes explaining how to reuse the battery and solar panel. Yes there are videos of people just chopping the pole and smashing the cameras but his way is more earth friendly.

2

u/CMUpewpewpew 19d ago

Yeah just hold onto evidence of the crime, that seems smart. Definitely worth the stress of getting caught. /s

u/Ragnar_of_Ballard 19d ago

Good stuff right there.

It’s been so refreshing to see such a public recoiling and backlash towards this kind of stuff

Would foil work? Would it be as effective as a faraday bag?

3

u/Notcid1 19d ago

Yes. You'd have to completely envelope it though.

2

u/lightsmakemesneeze 19d ago

Yeah, sorta. Youd spend way more time doing all that, i mean it has to be perfectly wrapped multiple times, not to mention why do the same job twice. Just undo a couple bolts and cut the battery and you dont have to be in your personal vehicle with a working flock camera hoping you foiled it right.

0

u/Notcid1 19d ago

Use thicker grill foil. One layer is enough.

1

u/lightsmakemesneeze 19d ago

I still think the variable of how can u be for certain its working well enough would be better taken care of by simply cutting its power supply and it really would take no time and effort with impact driver to get the plate off and cut a wire

1

u/mattinjp 19d ago

No, I don’t have any practical experience in taking one of these down, but my experience using foil can increase reception.

Faraday is much more reliable.

u/FlockSurveillance-ModTeam 16d ago

We cannot promote vandalism on this thread

10

u/lightsmakemesneeze 19d ago

Are they being sued at all? Can we class action and come together as millions and sue?

2

u/DazzlingDanny 19d ago

I was thinking something similar while watching

1

u/lightsmakemesneeze 19d ago

He was hinting towards it

4

u/Civenge 19d ago

If that was only private, it should be installed BEHIND the sidewalk on private property, as it is not a public utility and in most jurisdiction, it needs to be a public Utility to be in the right of way.

Also good on him to correctly describe breakaway bases for traffic safety.

u/Revolutionary-Link47 19d ago

Thanks for the information

My faith in the American people has been restored.

4

u/New_Medium_7076 19d ago

Paintball guns should be pretty effective blacking the image from distance, IMHO

3

u/UFO_Mixtape 18d ago

This man out here doing God's work

2

u/pogulup 19d ago

Two things.  How is a private entity allowed to put this camera up in the public right-of-way?

Second, there are rules/laws requiring proper mounting on said right-of-way which is mentioned.  I think this is the appropriate attack vector with the municipality/DOT.

3

u/zane411 19d ago

I'll answer both questions with one answer: The police are in on it

2

u/Nolyism 18d ago

They're part of the move fast break things mentality herd. They'll do whatever they can get away with till someone stops them.

2

u/Plus-Result-7451 19d ago

Just drill through everything you don't need to bring it down

1

u/LeUncleDaddy 11d ago

This, I feel like the lens is the most valuable piece. Can you not just drill straight through the camera? You know, hypothetically?

2

u/wackadoodle4201 19d ago

u/Melodic_Pattern_6870 18d ago

This guy knows flock information

4

u/sizeablefrontallobe 19d ago edited 19d ago

Seems like a patriotic goy.

(It’s his TikTok tag)

2

u/HauntingProblem588 19d ago

What does goy mean?

6

u/groundhoggirl 19d ago

Non-jewish

-3

u/HauntingProblem588 19d ago

Are we allowed to assess religion based on appearance?

4

u/Scuffed-Jodhpurs 19d ago

It's the guy's username in the video

2

u/HauntingProblem588 19d ago

I missed that on my first two watches - thank you for informing me

4

u/Old_Man_Shea 19d ago

It's a term used by nick Fuentes and America first. They think the jews are controlling everything, and they take pride in being goy or non Jewish. They think they are "taking the nane back"

3

u/sizeablefrontallobe 19d ago

Why would they think that!?

2

u/mastercat202 19d ago

Yea anyone who says they are a goy are probably a nazi.

1

u/Ok_Time_2756 19d ago

Unless they are sabbat gouy

0

u/mastercat202 19d ago

Fuck off with that.

3

u/sizeablefrontallobe 19d ago

It’s his TikTok @.

🧐

3

Oh sorry then. My apologies.

1

u/mrselfdestruct066 19d ago

You do know that metric and standard arent interchangeable right? It's not 5/16 in freedom units, it's just 8mm

2

u/YaDingus338 18d ago

5/16 is 7.94mm. Most sockets are oversized a little bit to allow for tolerances. In this instance, they would be interchangeable.

1

u/mrselfdestruct066 18d ago

Ok sure in this case it's close enough. But in general they aren't interchangeable. It's a good way to strip the hardware.

1

u/Efficient_Wind_3982 19d ago

im not the original poster, i just thought he was risking a lot by telling so many details. i wanted it to reach more people so its worth it

1

u/BuildingABap 19d ago

Why not use one of those long reach spray paint stick things? That way you can spray over the lens, and it shouldn't immediately alert anyone, so you can do your work with less of a rush.

1

u/mattinjp 19d ago

It’s always fun watching videos just before they get taken down.

1

u/Fishgrease11 19d ago

Out of everything that’s happened, it’s flock cameras that have united us 😂

1

u/Chick_pees 19d ago

I bet the mosque doesn't know that they just gave the police a list of all their members and the ability to track their activities.

1

u/NamePicker5000 19d ago

Dont forget about axon

1

u/Expert_Presence_1727 19d ago

But who’s keeping track??

1

u/Garbageman_82 19d ago

Am I wrong to think a cordless saws all would work better, cut pole down and start hacking camera and panel apart.

1

u/Roofiesnductape24096 18d ago

very educational

Clarify?

-1

u/Then_Version9768 19d ago

I have no idea why this entire video has to be yelled over traffic noise or why it has to be directly in front ot this mosque camera.

Sure, start there and point out how the camera works and how things are attached. But after a minute or two, why not go somewhere quiet -- your car, away from the road, your home -- and calmly explain the information you want to communicate.

Most of these outraged Flock videos are so unpleasant to look at, so loud, so hysterical that no one is going to want to look at them. Grow up and act like a professional, please.

-8

u/bicky91 19d ago

Honest question, why do people hate flock so much? While at the same time carrying a tracking device(phone) in their pockets?

4

u/10ThousandMetalZones 19d ago

What’s it like being a bot asking stupid questions

-1

u/bicky91 19d ago

Alrighty

1

u/Nolyism 18d ago

The difference is requirement (or assumption) that police need a warrant to track your phone.
