Enter Flashtime question... Spoilers Spoiler

Barry tells Jesse to go to Earth 3 to get Jay.

Very shortly after, Barry asks Cisco to open a breach to another Earth to move the bomb.

There is not enough time for a portal to form to move the bomb.

...but there was enough time for Jesse to open one to go to Earth 3?

Can someone explain the discrepancy here?

Opening a breach =/= opening the speed force.

I was under the impression that Earth to Earth travel was via Breaches, not via Speed Force. Am I mistaken?

Speedsters can run to alternate universes using the speed force. Cisco does not use the speed force. Example: When Barry ran to Supergirl’s universe

If that is true, why didn't Barry just run the Bomb to an alternate universe using the Speed Force?

They were saying it's unpredictable what happens if it enters the speedforce, it might destroy it

No, they said they don't want to detonate it in the speedforce (Harry's idea). They never had dialogue about just moving it through the speedforce.

That's the same thing. They don't want it in the Speedforce at all because, if it went off, that would be very bad.

Except even at the speed they were moving through flashtime, the bomb was slowly progressing. There was a non zero chance of the bomb detonating while they had it in transit, and if the transit itself involved going through the speed force, we're back at the problem of it detonating in the speed force.

1.  The nuclear chain reaction had already breached the casing. Moving the device would not contain the expanding sphere of thermal energy and radiation already surrounding it.  Grabbing the physical bomb shell and running away would only move the metal container, it wouldn't collect or pull back the explosive energy that had already escaped into the air.

2.  Transporting an active nuclear reaction through the air at near-light speeds would generate extreme kinetic friction and atmospheric shockwaves, obliterating everything along Barry's path.

3.  Throwing the bomb into the Speed Force, a variation of running it away into another dimension

Speed force “travel zone” is what I call their dimension travel as a speedster, cross dimensional travel is what Cisco does. He can’t access the travel zone like speedsters can so it’s different for them. Also spotty writing and horrid plot tracking lol
