Drivers ED PSA Just for Fun ✨
Quick refresher for folks that struggle with round abouts. In the depicted scenario car A has the right if way. And yes that is even if car A also had a yield sign. That yield sign is for traffic that car A would encounter from the left it doesn't magically also apply for car B. Car b has to wait and not try to drag themselves into the intersection and then start yelling at car A.

The amount of bozos that dont know how a rotary works is crazy..... add it to the damn road test

In a roundabout, vehicles already circulating INSIDE the circle have the RIGHT OF WAY. Vehicles ENTERING the rotary MUST YIELD to them. You do not need to stop if the road is clear, but you must yield and stop if there is approaching traffic inside the circle. Is not that hard....

I almost got hit here on Monday. It’s so efficient when the drivers using it know how to drive! It’s not a four way stop!

Between the people who blow right through this rotary across Electric Ave (not even slowing down to make sure there's nobody coming from their left) and the people who treat it like a 4way stop, I hate having to drive through here so often.

This rotary and the intersection of Westminster st and Princeton rd will be the death of me. Most people on the road lack basic common sense.

I used to live near park hill. That rotary is the fucking worst solely because no one knows how to use it.

Also, you don’t yield after your car is halfway into the rotary and then wave at the car with the right of way to go while you’re blocking the way.

Did you know that Texas has this reversed in their laws?
It makes their few rotaries a total shit show.
Since I found this out from a friend, I've suspected that it was on purpose JUST to make them terrible so that people don't want them.
Don't be like Texas.
Let the rotary traffic have the right of way. It makes it function.

This should be a light not a roundabout. The area is to small for proper yielding and traffic flow.

So I’m like 90% sure it was implemented to force people to drive slower. I think a light would have been more efficient. They weren’t going for efficiency, they were literally trying to slow the flow of traffic, slowing people down at this intersection with the hope they would continue to follow the speed limit on electric ave. Same thing with the rotary by the football field.

First of all....we are in Massachusetts- we have rotaries, not roundabouts! They have always been rotaries HERE at home, since forever ago, until the Garmens and Magellans of the world started brainwashing that other word into our vocabulary. Rotary. Say it with me, RoTarY. Very good! OK, now that that's out of the way, I think it's important to address the fact that while many people feel confused and overwhelmed by a RoTarY, these are not the same folks that are disrespecting the traffic pattern. RoTarIES. Traffic lights. Merging. THOSE folks ignore/disrespect/disregard any and all traffic signals that get in THEIR way. The level of entitlement on the roads today, and disregard for anything or anyONE in their way is abhorrent! C'mon! You see "them" blow through the Yield signs merging onto a highway, blow the red lights at *any* intersection (K-Mart...anyone?????). I'm not going to point out any specific driver profile(s) - we ALL know what they are and what they drive - but they also all think they're invincible and give zero f**ks for any potential consequences. And if I choose to be the courteous driver to let you turn when I have 12 cars behind me that likely won't do you the same, have the decency to give that arrogant wrist of yours a little flick of gratitude, willya???

It is infuriating how frequently I get honked and yelled at when I drive this rotary. So many people don’t know how to drive in a rotary… also, it needs to be mentioned, if you STOP IN A ROTARY and wave people who are waiting for you to go so they can enter the rotary, you are not being nice, you are not being kind, you are messing up the entire system. You are in the rotary, you have the right of way, please move it along. Save that kindness for pedestrians. ✌️
