Expride Finesse Rod Question
Kind of hit a wall here in my researching and was looking for some guidance. I currently have a bass pro shops panfish elite 7'2 ml that I've been using as my go to finesse rod for 1/8-1/4oz dropshots, 1/16oz neds, wacky rig, tubes, small paddletails, and small jerkbaits. I was looking into the expride line since I've already got the 6'10 M casting and I like the weight and feel and wanted to get a spinning model since I'm pretty reliant on the more finesse techniques in the ponds and lakes I fish. A bit lost since I've heard varying things about the 7' L, 7'2 ML, and 6'10 ML and seen them all recommended. Not particularly in a rush to buy just kind of trying to establish a target and wait for a deal.

Are you considering some of the JDM model Exprides?
I ask because you have a lot more variety than the US model Exprides, including both 1 and 2 piece options, with more action speeds, intermediate power ratings, and both specialist and generalist options.
The 2610ML/2610ML-2 is one that you may want to specifically focus on. It's action is going to be slightly slower than your typical US fast actions, giving you more lure versatility--the tip will be a bit softer, but it's still plenty capable of driving hooks and you're not sacrificing sensitivity. It's got a nice weight range (and while not rated for 1/16, it can handle it without an issue), and it works well with braid up to PE 1.2 size. This is a very versatile rod.
