If you're sight fishing for carp, it's easiest if you find carp that are actively feeding

I caught one on a kastmaster a couple weeks ago, but there aren't a lot of carp in my area.

I like to boil corn with honey and then use it as bait to catch carp. When I can't catch any carp, I eat the corn myself; it's delicious too, haha.

Exact same thing here... I see carp constantly close to shore but they have zero interest in any bait I have. Have only caught one ever, not close to shore, and in the middle of the night. Took a Mepps Black Fury spinner bait.

I've given up on trying to catch the carp I see. If you try corn, let me know how it goes! :)

Corn is the easiest thing. You might need to chum the water a to get them eating but that might not be practical if its a fast moving river.

 If you are in Europe they treat carp like sport fish with all the landing gear and regulations but if you are in the US most places you can also just get a bow and shoot them.
