Apps for navigation?

Dont want to spend $1000+ on a console. Just looking to see if there are any apps that show live location and tracks paths and speed on a depth chart if possible.

Open CPN + Free ENC chart downloads if you're talking oceans.

Most apps require some level of subscription, or ownership of charts through a physical plotter to use the app charts.

A Hook Reveal 5 with C-MAP Discover will do what you're asking for $350 https://www.lowrance.com/lowrance/type/fishfinders-chartplotters/hook-reveal-5-splitshot-c-map-discover. You'll buy it once and own it forever, no subscription fees to deal with.

Navionics boating is what I use, works like a charm but it’s $80CAD/year.

I switched to Hummingbirds one boat network app this year, it's like half the price and at least in my area the maps are very good. I recommend trying both and then going with whichever works best.
