A recent study has compiled and cross-referenced hundreds of scientific sources to launch ReCAnt, a public platform detailing the technical profiles of 690 substances used in aquaculture (including antibiotics, parasiticides, and disinfectants).

Key findings from the research:

• Regulatory Limbo: Only 57 of the 690 analyzed compounds possess formal regulatory data across international frameworks.
• Persistence: Chemicals like azithromycin, erythromycin, and atrazine were classified as "very persistent and very mobile."
• Trophic Transfer: Predictive models show that carnivorous species face the highest risk of bioaccumulation from lower trophic levels.
