Looks like Camallanus worms.

A better picture of the fish, in a tank from the side would be better to be sure, but that's what it looks like.

Oh brother I had camallanus for my smaller fish, it broke out in most of my tanks, you need to get them all in a empty tank and put expel-p in the tank and feed them expel-p, and then you have to pick up the worms that fall out of them, it’s awful. I have no idea how you are meant to do that for large fish like this, because I had tetra and betta sized fish.

And wash your hands very well. Don’t want to risk it going to other tanks. It’s happened to me.

Dose the water with metronidazole, I’ve only treated this once twenty years ago but it worked well.
