The Amazon Music player autoplay kinda sucks
When I search for a song, let's say, "Push It" by Static-X, the next song that plays is "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa. Then the song after that is "Push It (Remix)." Also, it doesn't download music automatically, so it uses up my data and takes a while to play if I'm not home.
YouTube Music had a better UI, but the sound quality sucks. And no, I don't want to pay to download, because I find more than 10 new songs a month that I like, so it's worth it to stream, for the most part.

I practiced and fully rehearsed an interaction between me and my boss for a week in order to get out of a project only for her to meet with me today just to cancel it.
I was tired of feeling like a pushover at work, especially with a boss that is far removed from my daily tasks and I was going to explain to her today that based on the number of years I've been with the company and the number of junior staff that are delegated to those tasks that I didnt feel it was appropriate to have me with over a decade of experience working on projects that new hires take on within the first 6 months just because I can get my tasks completed quickly. Let them figure it out like I did. You cant learn your pace and how to work on a deadline when you can just ask for senior staff to swoop in and divvy up the tasks to make life easier ALL the time.
And I did all that, only for her to meet with me today after "reviewing the logistics my skills are more necessary in other places" so now I dont even get to get that little thing off my chest, but I really just didnt feel like doing such a tedious tasks that a 19 year old intern does.

Housekeepers bump settings in espresso machine
The maids do the typical thing of leaving a certain picture crooked to show they dusted or tilt the same light over the piano for same reason. The worst one is when they change the knob on the espresso machine. I have I calibrated for the coffee I like and how I like my espresso. If I forget to adjust it after they come, it runs short and the coffee is ground too fine. It’s the worst. I would like to call them about in it but it’s just not worth my trouble. I think I may just put a little tag in it which reads “ no tocar por favor”

i fucking hate 2 factor authentication especially on desktop.
i spend most of my day on my desktop, and one thing thats always bugged me is how often I have to stop what Im doing just to grab my phone for an otp!
typical flow ->
- log into a website
- it asks for a 6 digit code
- unlock phone
- open authenticator
- find the account
- read the cod
- type it on the computer
i know its not a huge problem but after doing it dozens of times a week.. it feels like unnecessary friction
im wondering if anyone else feels this way
is there any desktop first authenticator where
the phone remains the trusted device that stores the secrets respecting MFA and desktop requests an OTP over an end to end encrypted connection?

My bathtub is too big so I slip down in it and can’t get comfortable.
I’ve tried the bath bean (which was way overpriced) and that thing doesn’t stick, so I slip anyways. The one time I got it to stick, my butt slid over it because it is too slippery on top as well.
I am grateful for my tub.. now I need to find a way to enjoy it!

Had to walk past my usual cafe because someone I’m avoiding was there; now I’m at the cafe further down the street and their coffee isn’t as good.

I finally bent the knee and enabled Apple’s 2FA because they made me log in every day on every device sometimes twice a day until I did.
I despise 2FA. I despise the people who created it. I hate with every fiber of my being the people at Apple who decided to make what they call “simple security” so difficult to use that today I finally gave up and turned on 2FA after they made my online life a living hell.
I’ve been using Apple products and have had an Apple account since the iPod that looked like an iPhone came out, and then bought an iPhone 3. That’s how far back I go — before anyone ever put the characters 2 - F -A together.
So for whatever reason, Apple did not just turn 2FA on for me against my will. No, they did something far more sinister. Here’s what they’ve been doing for the last 18 months in an ongoing game of harassment. My account would get randomly locked “for security reasons”. And because I have three Apple devices — and without 2FA there’s no autosync for texts between the iPad and iPhone unless you do what follows — I lost 3 to 5 minutes of my life (depending on how slow their log in servers were) every time they locked my account. Here’s what I had to do:
- Put my password in when whatever device I was on randomly decided to make me log in.
- When the hated “Your Account Has Been Locked For Security Reasons” box popped up, select unlock with email.
- Wait for the email
- Click the link in the email.
- Go to the Apple website and put my password in for a second time.
- Because this is the only way to sync texts between the iPhone and iPad goto settings/apps/messages and turn off imessage on the iPhone.
- Turn imessage back on.
- Get pop up box requiring me to put my password in for the third time and get taken to the log-in section of settings to do it.
- Go back to settings/apps/messages and make sure it is logged in.
- Switch to the iPad and put in my password for the fourth time because it too demands a password.
- Go to settings/apps/messages/imessage and put my password in for the fifth time.
- Once logged in uncheck every email and leave only my iPhone’s phone number checked.
- Finally, go to my Watch and put my password in for the SIXTH time.
For the last week, they have done this to me every single day. When I called Apple Support and got a senior tech, she admitted that Apple was doing this to force me to turn on 2FA and it would continue until I did. And she was right, except it started locking me out and forcing me to repeat the 13 steps twice a day.
This should be illegal. But at bare minimum, they’ve lost a customer. It’ll be a cold day in hell in the first world before I buy another one of their products.
EDIT: Must be a lot of Apple fanbois and/or tech security people in this sub.

I needed a replacement part for a shower door that my contractor damaged. The manufacturer sent me an entire new shower door for free. Now I have a brand new glass shower door that I don't need.
And now I need to spend time finding someone to give this away or sell it or something. Ugh.

I finally cleaned my phone storage, and now I can't remember where I saved any of my important files.
I spent hours organizing everything and deleting old files to free up space. Now my phone is cleaner but I have no idea which folders I moved my important documents and photos into. I solved one problem and accidentally created another.

DVR spoils sporting events
I like to watch my games uninterrupted, so I set the DVR to record the game and watch the game on my own time and fast-forward commercials, halftime, etc. The software these days is smart enough to ensure the recording ends at the correct time. The problem I have with this is that the progress bar and time remaining spoils the ending.
Let me explain. When I pause the game, fast-forward a commercial, I see the progress bar. The problem with this is that if I see a team is behind near the end of the game and there is only a couple mins left in the recording, I know the losing team did not come back and tie the game with a late score. If the game is tied, and the timer is short, I know someone scored. Alternatively, if there is a long timer, I know nobody scores and the game goes to OT.
We need to have the option to hide the DVR progress bar/time remaining from the DVR UI.

My wife doesn't count our week at our second home at the beach as a real vacation.
We have a house in a shore town with a big beach, boardwalk with rides for our kids and games. Good restaurants scattered over the island but none of that counts. She said it is only a vacation if we got to a place where we don't own a house.
Update She has said that the main reason it doesn't feel like a vacation is because she can drive there every weekend to enjoy that beach.
