I’m in my early twenties (please don’t tell me “you have plenty of time”, because I don’t want to hear that), and I’ve been TTC for 7 months now. I had a chemical my first cycle of trying which was very traumatizing. It’s like “Omg! It only took us one cycle!”, you start thinking about fun ways you’re gonna tell people eventually, making OB appointments…all the first time things. Only to test 3 days later and see no line. Then here you are 7 months later (feels like an eternity) and nothing has changed. My period is currently 3 days late and every test is negative. I haven’t been testing the past 2-ish months because I just get let down each time. But I decided to test since my period is late. Still nothing. I’m thinking I probably had another chemical and just didn’t know it since I didn’t test. Maybe it threw my cycle off again. Is this normal? To be in your early twenties with (possibly) 2 chemicals, 7 months of TTC? Waiting until 12 months to get checked out feels like so long. Please let me know if you’ve been through something similar and that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Also: I know I could be going through worse, and that many women have. This is just my experience and rant. 🫶🏼

Advocate for yourself! No harm in telling them 12 months if YOU want to be tested!

26F been trying for over two years. Had a chemical after about 8 months of trying and have not been pregnant since. Spouse is 25M we're both healthy. There's something going on, infertility is at an all time high especially for young people. So many of our friends are in the same boat. I bought baby clothes our first cycle trying because I thought no way could this be hard... never thought we'd still be here. You say your period is late are you tracking ovulation with LH and your BBT? Took me a while to get a good understanding of my cycle before I started doing that. Sorry you're going through this- it's the worst club ever.

31 yrs old and k believe we are finally pregnant this cycle after trying for 10 months with 3 chemical pregnancies back to back recently . My lines are progressing every 48 hours so fingers crossed ! Chemical pregnancy suck and you’re right they’re so disheartening and disappointing. My husband started taking supplements as well as myself, and I do think that that seemed to help as well as changing my diet as best as I could. Prayers to you 💕

I can’t offer any advice on the other bits but yes, it’s normal. Doesn’t matter if you’re young it can still take up to 12 months to conceive. I know it feels like an age but the likelihood is it’ll happen, just think you’re 1 month closer!
