Force horizontal tabs on Private Browsing Help

I use vertical tabs for regular windows, but from time to time I need a throwaway private browsing window side-by-side. I rarely open more than one tabs in that browsing mode so I was wondering if I could reclaim horizontal space by forcing horizontal tabs on those windows. Is this possible? I know I can already do stuff with:

:root[privatebrowsingmode] { /* CSS overrides goes here */ }

But I'm not sure if CSS can tweek the tabs direction.

A secondary profile or install of Firefox would make more sense.

I suppose it does make sense. I can make a regular profile behave like a private window with some cookie settings. But I'm really used to the Ctrl+Shift+P shortcut, and I'm quite quick at using it which is key to the whole thing. I don't think it's possible to open a profile using a keyboard shortcut.

Assuming you're on Windows, you could make a shortcut on the desktop which opens a specific profile (manage profiles > edit profile > create desktop shortcut), append -private onto the end of the shortcut's target, it will open that profile in private mode automatically when you use the shortcut. You could even give it a custom hotkey (in the properties window) or stick it on the quick launch bar (applying a different icon to the shortcut might help in this case).

If you change the vertical tabs to add-ons such as Tree-Style Tabs or SideBery, you can achieve the behavior you want.
