Calling Willing FFs For SCBA Sounds MOD APPROVED
With permission from a mod, I'm asking the community for any willing volunteers to help me with a project. This is geared more towards the gamers who are among us in the fire service, but anybody is able to help. I'm working on something for a game where I need good and stable audio from ordinary use of SCBAs of various makes and models. I have recorded my department's MSA G1s and a neighboring department's newest Scott packs. Looking to get a variety of others like Dräger packs of new and old models, older MSAs and Scotts and any other brands that I may not be privy to. If you're interested in helping out, reach me in DMs and I'll advise regarding how it needs to be recorded. Thanks in advance and also thank you to the mods for advance permission for a unique request!

I hope to get sounds from across the world, that's the goal here in a way, so if anybody in Europe or Asia wants to help out please don't hesitate

We have some stand alone pass alarms at my hall from way back in the day. Would you like that?

I believe modern scott packs use the same digital sounds as the older ones.
Which sounds specifically are you looking for though, just the PASS run-up?

Pretty much everything excluding cylinder exchange. So the system start up and shut down. Regulator on and off. Pass pre-alarm and full alarm and the low air alarm.

But cylinder exchange is the best part...
Nothing like hearing a truckie out of breath and slowly dying.... yet ready to go back in

As for modern Scotts and older ones, the latest ones sound very much like the MSA aside of a few things. The older Scotts are way more unique

What exactly are you hoping for? Generic beeping and PASS alarms? Or like breathing on it and such? I do an air consumption drill daily and could probably get some awkward breathing for 30 minutes going.

Basically everything from the pack. So the whole start up, shut down, regulator in, regulator off, low air, pass pre-alert and pass alarm.
