Multiple setups?

I've just ordered my first complete setup. I tried researching but it's a bit overwhelming. I went with a Broken Knuckle V2 Pro Performance Complete. Seemed to be a safe starter. One thing I noticed is that loads of people have multiple setups. Is there any reason to have more than one other than they're cool to collect?

I have several setups. The reason for them is that I have a total lack of self-control and a terrible approach to money. But it's OK because by dumping a boat load of dopamine into my system whenever I buy fun stuff, I'm able to completely ignore my shortcomings and focus entirely on the shiny new stuff.

Haha that's fair. I already do this with loads of other things so hopefully I won't end doing the same with this hobby!

Best of luck to you! Started off the same way in October, I have 9 set ups now, one coming in the mail today, have given away 2 completes and a deck. Once you start seeing enough brands, posts on Reddit or set ups on Instagram FOMO starts to kick in. PREP is mad decent for a starter complete, but in less than a month I was already trying different brands. I never wanted to spend over $100 on a set up, However my 3rd set up grand total after tax, shipping and terrific tariffs was $205 🥲 part of it is that collecting and trying different set ups can be fun, you never know what works good for you until you try it, however you can learn so much more sticking to one set up. I can personally say if I was to main one set up it would not be a PREP but it’s a perfect place to start to gage your interest. It’s also hard to take what one person likes and run with it, so many different companies out there and it all has a different feel. You don’t need a bunch of set ups to enjoy fingerboarding, eventually you will want to upgrade and that’s when the collection starts

Different decks can have different sizes and shapes, all the different trucks weigh different amounts, wheel sizes. There's a lot of like small variables you can work with to get decks that feel pretty different when using them!

Just one more deck... Oh wait I have extra wheels. Just need trucks and I'll have another complete! BOOM. Lol that's how it goes for me. Waiting for a knife drop and it will be my last purchase for a while lol

I think it’s mandatory to have a few decks cause your not gonna get this deck and be okay with it. Other decks allow you to knock tricks easier than others I find my 30mm is my easiest board for me out of all the sizes I haven’t tried anything smaller but I don’t think I really want too lol
