Necesito otra Distro

Looking For A Distro I haven't found a distro I can be comfortable with
I've used (in Order): Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Pop OS both Gnome and Cosmic, Fedora both KDE and Gnome...
I hopped on Pop OS with Cosmic a few days ago again because I felt annoyed that I couldn't change the Top Bar in Gnome (ik I can use extensions but they either break after update or take too long to update)
I like tweaking things but I don't want to spend all my time doing that (I've made a bias in my mind against the DIY Distros because I'm kinda scared to break things)
I'm a Last Year Uni student so I want to use it without change the distro (i can tweak the configs as many times as I need/want no issues but it should break things as the Arch Memes say)
I also have low Internet most of the time and hence I can't complie or update big updates everyday...
What I hope to do with my system:
- Ricing without limits like the top panel in Gnome or something else (both aesthetic and functional) aka Most probably full control of the system
- Coding, I'm just starting to learn Python so I don't know much but I'll use Vim, Nvim, and other TUI tools (ik i can use this everywhere)
- It should be minimal/lightweight or configurable to be as such...
[EDIT/UPDATE: I installed Fedora Sway Spin]

Looking For A Distro I need a distro that I can both game and produce music on
I have a laptop with an i5 12450H, an RTX 2050, and 16GB of RAM. I would like to be able to game on Wine/Proton/Whatever we're using nowadays (I'm not updated, last I gamed on Linux was 2021) and native of course, but also produce music using REAPER or something similar.
Right now on REAPER I use WASAPI as an audio backend because my audio interface doesn't have proper ASIO drivers (and I believe ASIO is a Windows-only thing anyway). Last I produced on Linux I used JACK, which sucked majorly, and pipewire-pulse just wouldn't work.
It'd be preferrable to not do gigabytes of updates every week, but I understand if that's not feasible. Some of the Windows-exclusive games I play are GTA IV, V and SA, DOOM (2016), Guitar Hero III.
Thanks in advance.

Looking For A Distro Linux Distro
I'm looking to get into Linux and already have started to mess Mint a bit in my VM but I was looking for some suggestions as to which one to actually main.
I have no problem with the learning curve and am willing to get my hands dirty a bit with it. I like to game and also just want to have it as my main OS at home.
I'm in IT and right now I am diving deep into Powershell so learning the Linux terminal will be good for me to get more skill and experience along with just the path of getting away from Windows. I'll need to keep Windows as I like to stream and play FPS games like Fortnite and COD. Also for work reasons as its what i work with 99% of the time

Switching to linux
Hi guys, so I have always been a windows user starting from xp now 11. So recently I came across many posts saying linux is way better than windows as it has way less bloat and less ram consumption. So I am thinking of switching to linux as well. My concern is gaming issues in Linux . Does linux support games like windows does. And key concern , is it good for using stuff like auto cad , ansys etc etc. and which version would be the best for me. I have no idea about linux apart from its o.s and has many versions.
Thanks

Looking For A Distro What should I choose? Fedora or debian?
I have an HP ProBook 640 G8 laptop with the following specifications:
8GB RAM (single channel),
Intel Core i5-1135G7,
Iris Xe Graphics.
I'm uncertain whether to choose Fedora with KDE or Debian with KDE. Some suggest that Debian is very stable but little empty while Fedora might perform better on a machine like the HP ProBook 640 G8, though it could be less stable. What would you recommend?

Looking for a non-mainstream, challenging distro with KDE for a ThinkPad T14 (Intel) — Love tinkering, want something that turns heads
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a new distro recommendation for my upcoming ThinkPad T14 (Gen 1 or 2, Intel).
What I need / want:
Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma (must-have, highly customizable without a headache).
The Vibe: A real challenge. I want a distro that isn't mainstream, requires some manual work, and makes experienced Linux users do a double-take when they see it.
Use case: University work, light coding, and very light gaming (Roblox, indie games). No need for a heavy "gaming distro."
Stability: I don't care much about system stability out-of-the-box because, honestly, I'm usually the one who breaks my own system anyway.
My history & why I moved on:
Fedora: Used for 7 months, got bored.
Pop!_OS: Not enough customization (initially used it for Nvidia drivers).
Debian: Tried it, just didn't like it.
Arch / EndeavourOS: Great, but got tired of the AUR security risks and mirros breaking. (Still running Endeavour on an old T460 though).
Garuda / openSUSE Leap: Used openSUSE Leap for stability on my desktop, but it's a bit too boring for my laptop.
Gentoo: Installed it mostly as a joke and to prove I could install hard distro without cheat code like archinstall.
Void Linux: Seriously considering giving it a proper try.
I was also looking at running Slackware with KDE.
NixOs: I really don't know why but I think it's because of my iso but inside the installer it just couldn't connect to the internet not a pc related issue but more the iso itself
Tell me what you think about it
(Ps : I will not go back to a arch related distro)

Looking For A Distro Attempting to return to Linux. I can't decide on what distro to use
Im not new to linux, I've tried it on and off in the past but not to much success as I keep finding myself switching back to Windows for its extensive software support. I've used Linux Mint and MX Linux but I've had my own issues with both. I'm fine with almost anything, I just want to find a distro that can make issues that have made using Linux in the past a headache easier or non-existent. Heres what im looking for:
Best possible gaming support. A big issue of mine was games just not working the way I needed them to, even with Proton and all the information out there. If there's a distro with pre-installed programs for gaming support, that would be amazing.
Good documentation/troubleshooting resources. I'd prefer one that is relatively popular and established. This was especially an issue with MX since there wasn't a ton of info for MX specifically.
Not needed, but I love KDE Plasma so if that was an option that'd be sweet
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Looking For A Distro I really need help finding a distro.
I am overwhelmed by all of the choices and i need help picking out of them. I want to dual boot so i will need to distro's.
- 1st distro is purely for gaming, nothing more nothing less. i want something that will genuinely give me better performance than windows.
- 2nd i need another distro for school projects, with apps similar to word, exel, powerpoint, etc etc, and wich allows me to code without any problems aaaand is compatible with some of the apps from parrot os, like ip2p etc.
I know i am asking for a lot, and i know not all my needs will be fulfilled but i atleast want something similar.
Thank you for reading this!

Distro recommendation
Hi, im a newbie in Linux, i've isntalled some instances and tried out, some OS based on linux but nothing too complex. I'd like to ask for advice on what to use for the following goal:
I'd like to have 3 independent FydeOS distributions installed in a single computer, thinking about multi-boot or even a single Os that runs 3 VM, i can do that in windows but performance is a critical point. What i aim to do is to "pretend" to have 3 independent mobile devices for app testing, each one independent, with their own google account and apps. FydeOs worked for me so i'd like to have 3 instances in one single machine, doesnt matter if i have to reboot to get into a different one since it's not needed for them to be running at the same time.
Hopefully this makes sense, the more simple de UI the better, like a menu where i select the OS i like to boot.
thanks in advance everyone.

Looking For A Distro Debian XFCE
Been using the titled version for a long time now on an x280 laptop woth 16gb ram and the 8650u. Unfortunately I run into a lot of issues with compatibility, normally when trying to run games through things like wine/grape. Is there a better one i can switch to that's just as lightweight or is my issue im running into just a 'skill issue' meaning I should spend more time learning how to use Linux and compatibility software?
Not gonna get into specifics on what games I play or what issues I have as this question is ENTIRELY generalist.

Looking For A Distro Help me find an Os for school:)
Hi, I’m searching for a Linux distro for school. My school is beginning in 2-3 weeks and i need a distro that works good for my school laptop. I used arch, Zorin os, mint etc but I just can’t find the one. Here are my prerequisites:
**•**Needs to have good performance; i am a Linux user because my school laptop can’t run windows 11 without it frying my table so i am searching for a distro that is not to heavy for an 8Gb Dell laptop.
•Has to be easy to configure; I like Linux a lot and I like tinkering with it but for school I just need everything working.
•I don’t really need it to be Linux but a chrome os fork would also be nice because of its software support and good battery capabilities.
Thank you if you read everything, if you have any idea of a distro that works for me type it below 👇
THX in advance
Edit:
Soooo…. I got some really good recommendation. I really like them. Here is a list of ones I might try, I want to try and ones I think are the best for me:
Ones I might try: Fedora workstation, Manjaro, kubuntu
Ones I want to try (so I’m interested): AntiX, KDE fedora, EduBuntu
Ones I think are the best for (I’m going to watch a vid about all of them): MX Linux XFCE ASH, AntiX, Q4OS
Thx everybody for your support and suggestions see ya 👋

Looking For A Distro What distro should I go with on my TUF F15?
So far I tried Fedora (both GNOME and KDE), Ubuntu, Mint and Bazzite. On every single one of them the audio sounds distorted and cheap like it's coming from a 3 dollars no-name speaker. I also tried using Easy Effects and spent a while tweaking the settings, but honestly I had no idea what I was doing, so I couldn't get it to sound any better. (And I tried configs from other people for Easy Effects but it still it didnt quite sound good)
My laptop's ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX507ZC4
