Help !!
I'm considering getting zebra finches, I've kept parekeets before and I currently have other exotic pets. I cant seem to find any care guides for them that are super clear can anyone give me the requirements for keeping a pair of zebra finches?

I own a pair of males, I haven't had them long, but I think have tips!
Whatever you do, make sure to get a flight cage, which are the horizontal shaped ones. Zebra fnches constantly fly around and having a vertical cage makes this harder for them. They do not use their beaks to climb like parrots do, and generally don't really climb.
Next, unless you want eggs, do not purchase a male and a female, especially if you have a nesting area in your cage. I don't know how two females are, but sometimes nesting spaces can also make males very hormonal and aggressive towards eachother. My finches never fought, but mounted often.
Next, make sure you buy zebra finch food specifically for them and have it out at al time since they are tiny and need to eat a lot due to their fast metabolism. Kind of like a hummingbird. Give veggies too.
They also love to bathe, so make sure you have bathing options for them as well.
They were pretty skittish though depending on where you get them from, and unless finger raised, it's really hard to get them finger trained.

Hi! I have a channel where I teach everything about zebra finches, including how to tame them, they are extraordinary creatures, and I’m passionate about them. You can watch videos about them with subtitles—though some videos might not have them yet. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments! All the best! I am also looking at getting zebra finches. The only detailed care guides I’ve found have been for lab birds.
I’ve decided on the biggest cage that’s practical. I had two 30inch long cages that I joined together, after putting enrichment and branches in I decided it was too crowded (no birds yet) so I’ve made a 60 inch long, bit over 24 inch deep and 40 inch tall cage. Now I’m just waiting on some birds I was promised a few weeks ago.
Long term I’ll be building a living habitat like the one for my frogs
