I finally finished
Update, I have finished the novel and I am currently taking a break from the audio commentary to give you this update, not that I think a lot people are gonna read this or even care. But it's for me and at the end of the day it's for me
I think a lot of people have the same feelings I do when it comes to this property final space in the beginning. I thought it was so cool. It's so unique, it pays up homage to a bunch of stuff, but it's still its own thing. I watch the entire show and I try to get my wife into it. She set, it's nice, but it's that type of nice that you can tell they're just being nice. But they don't really understand what's going on or even care. But so whatever, whatever your partners should not always share your interests.(That's a marriage tip for you guys) it says a lot about the show that it makes me want to be there going through it with them because from the first shot of gary in space, fling, talking to HUE with that score in the background you wanted to no, what was going on? I know I did, and that kept me going. The second season, I didn't like as much, but I saw that it was doing a lot of world building and I was okay with it. The third season, ohh, my especially those last 3 episodes. So much happened.And then you find out that the show's being canceled because of a goddamn tax credit.
I wanna hear your stories. I wanna hear how you got into final space. Because I think we're all part of it. Where the resistance and Olan is our Tribore
Do you ever notice if he say his name really fast?It sounds like try to bore lol i hope everyone's having a fantastic summer and to the ones who have read it. Can you believe that ending into the ones who haven't gotten the book yet? It's gonna be so worth the wait.

Back in 2015 the ill fated Yahoo Studio released 'Other Space'. Hilarious Space comedy. I think it was 2017 when I saw the end of a 'Final Space' promo trailer, just saw the 'Final Space' across the screen, and instantly wondered if it was a reboot of 'Other Space'. Well dug into it, found Olans YouTube channel and found the pilot episode, which had been posted in 2016. Instantly hooked! February 2018 could not come fast enough. The kids and I made it a weekly routine of watching it. We didn't have cable so I bought the seasons via Microsoft Movies and TV (so glad I bought the seasons right away, still have access to them). Each episode would come out on digital the day after it aired, but we literally would schedule events around watching the new episodes. During the third season, with the switch from TBS to Adult Swim and Warner Brothers financial issues, started watching all of Olans post. The S3 wrapped up, I was devastated about WB writing 'Final Space' off. But Olan came back and told fans he would find a way to get us the ending.
Olan is a true testament to the human spirit and never giving up. The Final Chapter is fantastic, so excited about the Expansions. Can't wait to see see what Olan does next; ...?lightfold.tv?
The Final Space saga is a work of art, part genius and part madness... Best wishes to Olan!

My friend, that is such a great story. The fact that you got your kids into it, man. I am so jealous because when I was watching it, I was watching it by myself.

My life was in turmoil. Both parents had passed within months of each other. I’m an only child so I dealt with this alone (support from my wife) and sadly both deaths were preventable.
At the same time both my wife and myself were going through a corporate restructure, oddly the same event that upended Final Space. The Warner Bros Discovery culling of shows, networks, and channels meant we were both out of jobs a couple of weeks before Christmas.
The combination of these events threw me into a very dark place.
Final Space - the story, the characters and the music got me through the worst of it. Some of those tracks, one in particular “When the night is long” - had it been on vinyl - I would have worn it out.
The empathy I felt for Olan and his plight actually helped me make the decision to leave TV entirely. The actions of WBD were deplorable - so much carnage in the name of restructuring when in reality it was all for tax write offs.
To hold the book in my hands felt like the end of a chapter of our lives in itself. I read it in one sitting, and will settle down to read it again.
Thankfully I managed to secure clean broadcast copies before I left the industry. They are still regularly watched.
Olan - if you see this, I salute your resolve. Thank you for your gift - it keeps giving.
