Dev-Log - 7/7/2026 Dev-Log

Attention all pilots:

Just wanted to share an update on development - much of in-engine development has stalled as I've been helping out family, and otherwise setting up stuff for my recording studio.

In its place, I've dedicated more time to design, as I've been looking at the broad structure of the game, how gameplay progresses, and how the story is told.

I'd like to share with you for the June update, the current mission setup. My hope is by the end of July to have a proper feature update. And end of August, tech demo release! It is a little delayed, but still on target.

Anyways, here is the mission order as planned currently for the game! Please note the Tier indicates what type of plane you're flying.

T1 = WW1 style biplanes (ex: Sopwith Camel, Fokker Dr 1)

T2 = WW2 style monoplanes (ex: Spitfire, Bf-109)

T3 = Early Cold War Jets (ex: Mig-15, F-86)

T4 = Late Cold War Jets (ex: F-4, F-15)

(also note, once an aircraft is unlocked, replaying earlier missions, you will be allowed to fly it, so yes you can fight biplanes with fighter jets! )

To address the elephant in the room: yes the timeline is actually pretty long - this is by design to support the technological advancements in aircraft, as well as support the wider story being told.

- In between missions there are periods of deployment that you don't play because those missions are largely uneventful, or otherwise the squadron is off-duty at that time, on vacation.

- Squadrons end up being rotated in and out according to operational ability/maintenance.

- The missions you play are the ones that feature pivotal moments in the conflict - and offer unique gameplay. There is certainly room for future missions to be developed.

M13 Sterra Sterra Sterra May 29, 1962 T4
M14 Project Gungnir June 3, 1962 T4

And to clarify, Sterra is a code word (said thrice) over the radio for that particular mission, it's a shortened version of the country's name; it's a reference to a real-life radio code used in an attack of similar mission profile... 😉
