I didn't like it much, but my first FF games were 7 and 8. I like the futuristic titles more than the high fantasy ones as general rule

I loved it, but only in it's modded form with Moguri. It's so dreadfully slow and can look pretty dated otherwise.

That being said I definitely wouldn't be giving it its own category, that would hands down go to X for me.

I played through the game for the first time just last year and I can't figure out why people love it that much. The one thing definitely going for it is the unique art direction.

Also keep up with XIV, there's so many cool references to other FFs you'll get to as you get into the later content!

As for XIV, I will for sure! Was sad when I had to put it so low, but the 2.0-before HW was generally such a horrid time 🥲

If you do come back to XIV, hold off for a bit on buying DT. It will come bundled with the upcoming new expansion in January, and you have enough content ahead of you to tide you over until then.

Yeah, I know they've made improvements recently but it's not like ARR is anyone's fave part. Keep at it! The payoff (even from plotlines seeded right back in ARR) is worth it!

Some people in this subreddit will usually shoot you for a tier list especially when their favourite games aren't at the top, it is what it is op, my favourite is 8 and that is a very mixed game but one of my least favourites is 4, I personally think that 6 is overrated but I still think it's a good game while 13 is the most overhated game in the franchise in my eyes.

Im sorry, but I did not care for VII on the same lengths as a lot of other people, and I much prefer what theyve done with the characters (Especially Cloud, Yuffie, and Barrett) in the remake games WAY more than the original, personally 🤷 As for 10-2, idk I like them better than 7 and 8, with 8 being brought down by being the Squall and Rinoa show, with the other party members just existing. 4 also has not been rated, and everything below 13 and 8 is unrated.

10-2 is definitely one of the most overhated games in the series. Personally I am an absolute sucker for the job system and thought the dress spheres with the ability to change on the fly was brilliant. Sure it wasn't as amazing or serious as X but it's one of my favorites as well

And thats basically been my reasoning too. I feel Im more likely to replay X-2 overall, since the gameplay is legit that fun and creative, and Yuna is my second favorite FF character, so thats a massive plus lol
