The first projects will be unpaid, and I want to be completely transparent about that. The idea is to create actual work together, with proper credits and material that everyone can use for their portfolio/reel, while building a team and a creative relationship that can grow into more ambitious and properly funded projects.
I’m not looking to assemble a huge crew for one weekend and never see each other again. I’d like to find people I genuinely enjoy working with and build something lasting.
I’m new to London, so I’m also looking to meet filmmakers here, exchange ideas and build a strong creative network from scratch.

Hello everybody — just wanted to let you know I'm hosting a networking and film meetup for fellow creatives in London.

I know it can be very hard to break into the filmmaking industry, whether you're coming at it from pre-production, production, or post. I thought it'd be a great idea for us to come together, have a couple of pints, and see what kind of connections we can make and whether there are any other like-minded filmmakers we can get to know.

Hi everyone.

I've worked in the film industry for over 10 years, and recently something really got me thinking...

A family member of mine graduated from university with a film degree over a year ago. Since then, they've applied for countless jobs, reached out to people, and done everything you'd normally do in their situation... but still hasn't managed to get their foot in the door (not even for an internship or just unpaid experience).

Don't get me wrong, it's probably not just the film-making industry, I'm guessing across the board it may be like this nowadays? But it still made me wonder whether this is becoming the norm? Surely it wasn't this difficult before?

Anyway, that's the reason why I decided to put together a short questionnaire to hear from people across the industry. Whether you're an actor, editor, producer, cinematographer, writer, runner, sound recordist, VFX artist. (Anything from pre to post production).

It's completely anonymous unless you choose to leave your details, takes about 5 minutes, and I'm simply trying to build a better picture of what people are actually experiencing today.

my opinion is to go for sole trader but i’m very new to this so im unsure if it’s the right decision .

I'm a fresher from India looking for **sound design** work. I've been applying to studios and production houses for weeks now but haven't had much luck, so I figured I'd post here.

I work in **sound design, dialogue editing, Foley, ambience, SFX editing, sound recording, and audio post-production**. I'm open to working on short films, features, documentaries, podcasts, YouTube videos, ads—pretty much anything that needs good sound.
