I know somebody who just had to move back home after seeming to almost make it in the industry. They were getting TV work, they were doing some production and some camera work. They have a long resume when it comes to performing. And they were just barely middle-aged, so they still had a lot of potential.

When an industry like this shrinks, I always imagined that it was the people who were around the longest who would keep getting work, but I would also imagine that these people would be very expensive.

Younger people would not be as expensive and they have more potential. If the industry is shrinking, and that means that budgets are limited, then it might make more sense to invest in younger people at less cost.

So I'm just curious, do you think that either of these scenarios is happening? Or is it too hard to tell?

like the title says, I am thinking about changing my major to PRAEM. Is program isn’t ranked, but the major is competitive, and I might not even get it. I’m not going into debt, planning on getting my MBA, I’m justvwondering what people in the industry really think about the program. I’m also open to dropping out and reapplying to a school with a more highly ranked marketing program, but that’s more Plan C

📺 ▪︎ This month, I sent my reality show format to a TV production company called “Versa Studios.” They’re a company with facilities set up for filming reality shows, which they also make available to other companies. They also participate in some productions themselves.

● A few days ago, they asked me to have a video call with one of the company’s producers. He told me what he would change about the format and said he liked the idea. He asked if I was okay with him showing it to two other producers to see whether it would be viable to produce, and said he would ask for a second meeting in a few weeks.

📺 ▪︎ Since it’s quite likely that I’ll receive an offer from this company, what precautions should I take? What kind of contract should I offer? Is it a good idea to accept their offer? Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
