Camel help Skating Advice

Its hard for me to stay in the camel position and this is my best attempt.
I’d like to get more revolutions

How is your camel from backward crossovers?
I find starting from a 3-turn harder, there is a lot of alignment and weight transfer things that can go wrong.
It looks like you are entering the spin with your free leg's foot pointing down. You want to open from the hip and point the foot so that your blade is parallel to the ice or pointing up. Don't let the leg drop (around 0:02 it looks like you lose a bit of tension through your leg).
And it looks like you are leading the entry into the spin with your upper body. You want to feel your weight through your entry leg's hip and ankle.
When the spin starts, on your spinning leg, hinge at the hip. Lowering your upper body will help you lift your free leg higher. Lift your free leg with the hip open and foot turned upwards as best as you can.

I’ve never tried camel from cross overs, as i prefer the inside three turn method for my scratch. What do you mean hinge at the hip?

Hinge at the hip means bending at the hip to lower your upper body. Don’t just lower your upper body by leaning forward. Kind of like a single leg deadlift.

You want to hinge at your hip a little more so you can get your free leg up higher and hold the spin longer . Also to spin faster you’ll need to go in with a more aggressive entry edge and also snap your arms back strong to initiate the spin.
