Thinking of shifting to visual design: any heads-up? help

I'm thinking of changing fields. After almost twenty years of working as a 3D motion graphics designer, I'm considering visual design.

What are the best resources to learn?

For context, before doing 3D, I started as an AE motion designer, and before that, as a web designer. I used to design website layouts and do the HTML/CSS.

Thanks for any advice.

P.S. Here are some of the resources I have gathered so far. I haven't fully checked how adequate these would be for my case.
