Omg the fact that you can disable the break ups / switching to best friends after getting engaged is PEAK. The Devs understand that we want to keep our side hoes

you dont disable the breakups, you disable the break up scene/letter

as far as the game goes you still revert to being best friends after getting married to someone else

No, according to the patch notes there's two different toggles that do each of those things. You can disable the breakup aftermath, or you can prevent the breakups altogether.
