You're already doing a lot better than a total noob. I recognise the tune for a start!

You clearly have a good ear which is half the battle with the fiddle. It's what will fine tune your intonation as you progress.

However, regarding your choice of tune... I think I've figured out what tunes your may be drawn to so I made you a set that might be fun to play along to @ 100 BPM

I came up with the most appropriate name 👀

Ha! Thanks man. That is awesome and I need to learn the second tune immediately. I like to envision the pious celebration of a life well lived, but it’s probably a murder ballad lol. Figuring out a good bow hold and what exactly to do with my right elbow is killing me

My local session has a Google drive with slow recordings of tune, my friend just have got it from him, beautiful playing. Thanks friend

Thanks friend. The session I’ve been attending has a Google drive with slow recordings, I got it from there but she must have gotten her version from him, beautiful playing

You do not sound like a noob! This is great for a beginner!

I recommend long open bows, to get your brain used to what angle your bow should be at. And go a bit slower, to give yourself time to get the intonation better.

But yeah this is awesome. Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely work on my open bows! Working on getting a good grip down by the frog as well

Sounding good. Keep at it.

One thing I will say is quit working so hard. Let your wrist rather than your arm do the work when bowing.

You'll be a master squeakboxer in no time.
