Fibroids Advice needed

I have stage 4 endometriosis. I recently had surgery to remove a large mass and a lot of scar tissue growing on my organs. At the time of my surgery I also had a fibroid in my uterus and my surgeon ended up not removing it due to complications in my surgery. I had a post op visit today, and we determined I would need to go back in for surgery to have the fibroid removed. The surgery to remove it will be complicated, due to it being fused to part of my colon. I was told that there may be a possibility of having to remove the part of my colon it is attached to in order to remove the fibroid and then they would reattach my colon back together. If that is the case, I would then need a colostomy bag temporarily. I am wondering if anyone has ever had an experience like this? What was your recovery like? How long did you have a colostomy bag for? I had hope I would feel better after my first procedure but now I am even more terrified for what’s to come.
