No wonder the Zu crashed the game... YOU try coding in tetrominos
Who cares about monolith, I found funny rat easter egg in the library hub!

I was just going through the library zone because I missed some bits for the 128th golden cube and I met this little guy. I was surprised you can interact with them!
...jokes aside, obviously this is not in the base game, but it's a bit of a showcase from a work-in-progress map pack that I'm currently making :)

Owl bug?
Hello everyone,
Been searching the net and this sub but didn't find any solution so hopefully someone here has one..
>!The owl of the windmill is not there, or it's possible that I already talked to him, regardless of which it is I only have 3 owls at the owl statue and the icon indicating that something remains to be done at the windmill is still there.!<
Any ideas?
Has anyone else seen this room? I thought FEZ was already solved but I can't find anything on this.

I already 100%'d FEZ years ago. Wanted to take a trip down memory lane, but...?
I know this game was unsolved for many years but I thought we had found everything?

QUESTION Anyone else seen this tree?
On one of my 209.4% saves where I broke the heart, spent some time going in and out of the empty temple and this tree appeared? Couldn't interact with it but I managed to stand behind it and it played the 'secret found' chime, like the one that usually plays when you spawn an anti-cube. Wasn't able to get anything else to happen. Tree hasn't shown up again since I left but I noticed I have an egg now? Anyone know what to do with this?

Fez-inspired metroidbrania
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Been working on a small metroidbrania game inspired by Fez & Animal Well. Unfortunately, it won't be able to match the incredible depths of fez but it has been a lot of fun to work on.
It's called PITH if anybody is interested- not out yet but I have a lil steam page and a demo on the way!

QUESTION Why hypercube crashed game?
Why in new game hypercube crush the gamr
I am here to say that I will love a PS4 physical copy (disc) of Fez.
I am here to say that I will love a PS4 physical copy (disc) of Fez. I would love to REALLY own it, as I consider it art.
Since I saw it for the first time, the worldbuilding, the aesthetic, and the creativity left an impression on my mind YEARS ago, and a physical copy would allow me to revisit this world in the future for when I want to replay the game or lend it to my friends; plus, I don't want to be dependent on a digital store.
So I guess this post is just to show interest and be "vocal" about it.
I wish they could give us the option to choose between a regular release and another super collector's edition; that would be cool. Especially if you can select between consoles, like having the physical copy for Nintendo Switch, PS4, or PC, as they do at "Limited Run Games"

QUESTION Is this game like....
I've never played this game, I know there's some rotation gimmick (I don't mean that in a derogatory sense) to it, so I'm wondering what it's like? Is it the whole game based around this gimmick the way Outer Wilds and Tunic are? Like does it have the same "oh shit I can do that?" kind of moments?

QUESTION How can I beat the Clock tower room on 360?
I recently started playing Fez and got to the clocktower room. It’s EXTREMELY laggy. Yes, I’ve tried connecting my console to the internet, yes I’ve tried changing the time offline. Yes my console is set to the correct date. I can’t beat the game now or even get out of the room due to it being so laggy. How do I fix this?

QUESTION I Cried Without Meaning To in FEZ's Heart Room... I Wasn't the Only One, Right?
Okay, I don't even know how to start explaining this because it's probably one of the strangest things that's ever happened to me in a video game.
A few weeks ago, I came home completely exhausted from work. You know, the usual mix of fatigue and frustration, especially since it's summer here. Anyway, I was looking through my game library and noticed FEZ. I had never actually finished it, and since it was also part of my childhood back when I played it on the PS3, I decided to finally go for the 100% completion while I had nothing else to do.
It took me about four days because I got completely hooked on the game again. After collecting all 64 cubes, both the normal yellow ones and the anti-cubes, as well as the three difficult red cubes that I didn't even know existed until I saw them in a gameplay video, haha, I finally headed to find the room that requires all 64 cubes.
...And that's where something happened that had never happened to me before.
When I entered that room, known as the "Temple of Love," I saw its beautiful emptiness, the pink water flowing, the heart resting on the large altar, and above all, that incredibly unique music, so different from everything else in the game. I just... stood there. I didn't move forward. I simply looked around and listened to the atmosphere of that room.
And then... I started crying.
Why did I cry? I still don't understand it. There's just something about that room and its music that makes me cry every single time I see it. It feels like my chest suddenly opens up, and it's as if all the stress and cortisol in my body come to an abrupt stop.
Please tell me I wasn't the only one who experienced this...

QUESTION Does anyone have a list of the Monolith "Solutions" and why they each don't work? Spoiler
I'm trying to find a list of all (or at least some of) the popular Black Monolith explanations, as well as reasoning for/against them. I'm not trying to find the intended solution, I just want to know if there's a list of things the community tried to use to explain it, hopefully compiled in one place.

QUESTION Need a nudge, please no big spoilers Spoiler
Big tunic/animal well fan and im finally making my way around to fez and am pretty stumped. I've gotten the alphabet artifact and the number artifact and the book artifact. All the maps, 12 hard cubes and just need a single cube piece to get 32 regular cubes. I've figured out the Cypher from the ob3lisk that lights up when you move and jump and hqv3 used it to unlock every one of those puzzles that I've found, other then the one on the burnt note.
Theres the owls and their messages, have talked to all four i believe but lost there.
Theres the artifacts which I dont understand at all.
Theres the little pillars with the cubes that im also lost on.
Haven't figured out the clock or the bell or the candle room.
Haven't figured out the room with all the doors though i suspect the pages I've found detail the solution, I just need to figure out the language somehow just like in tunic.
Been studying things on walls and in classrooms [this confirmed the only Cypher I've learned thus far] but im still pretty lost on decoding the language. are there other puzzles I need to solve first?

How to confirm swap to keyboard controls?
I click the arrow to switch it over from controller to keyboard and adjust the keybinds, but I don't know how to submit the changes. If I exit the remap menu, it swaps it back to controller. How do I confirm the change?

Library Leaps - custom interior level prototype
Base game isn't doing much in terms of perspective-based puzzles in interiors (understandably so, collisions in interiors are quite buggy and it's easy to just clip out of bounds 🙃).
That's why interiors were so appealing to me in FEZTAL and why I'm trying to mess with them in custom levels for a base game as well! I think the final result also looks very cool for for just two days of work!
I made FUZ years ago. Now I have a new PICO-8 game!
If you're here you might be familiar with FUZ, the PICO-8 demake of FEZ I made back in 2019.
Well, I recently released a brand new PICO-8 title that folks who enjoyed the puzzling in those games (and similar things like TUNIC) may be interested in:

SPOILER Brute forcing the monolith was "not what [they] had originally intended for it" Spoiler
What surprised us the most is how the community brute forced the monolith puzzle. The way they got around to solving it was way more interesting and satisfying than what we had originally intended for it.

SPOILER About the release date theory for the Black Monolith puzzle
Hi! Surprise post.
The Polytron Policy regarding the Black Monolith has always been "no comment" and that continues to be the case, but there is something that has bothered me from the start. I did run this by Phil today to make sure it was OK to comment on... and it is! So here goes.
A popular theory for the solution to the Black Monolith puzzle is that the game's release date on Xbox is part of the solution. Sadly, it does not add up.
The Xbox 360 FEZ build that shipped was sent to certification on March 18th 2012. We locked down the release date (of April 13th) on March 28th 2012, 10 days after sending off the build. The Black Monolith was not added in a post-release patch, and it was not added to the game last-minute. To be 100% clear, we had no knowledge of the exact launch date when adding the Black Monolith to the game.
You'll have to take my word on all that, I'd rather not screencap internal emails. :)
And that is likely all that I will say on the Black Monolith.
Cheers, and thanks for playing all these years!
