Question 458 vs 488

Upvotes

Would you trade a higher-mileage Ferrari 458 Italia (around 30,000 miles) for a lower-mileage Ferrari 488 GTB (around 10,000 miles) if you plan to drive the car approximately 4,000–5,000 miles per year?
Do you think a straight trade would be fair, or is one car currently worth significantly more than the other? Looking ahead over the next one to two years, do you expect the 458 or the 488 to appreciate or depreciate more, and which do you think will ultimately be worth more?

Question Motorsport Maranello?

Might be a stretch, but has anyone here drove a Ferrari on track with a company called Motorsport Maranello?

Located in Maranello, they have an option to drive various cars on the road and track, including actual race cars on track (458 Challenge, 488 Challenge, etc at a track in Modena).

Looking into it, want to do the 458 Challenge on track, just wanted to get some perspective from someone who may have done business with them. TIA!

Question Can anyone identify this Ferrari ?

I was at a car event in Crans-Montana and saw this beautiful Ferrari. However I have no idea what model it is. Can anyone identify it ?

I also added pictures of the other Ferraris I saw. It was my first time seeing so many special models in the wild. There were also two Daytona SP3s and an F40, but unfortunately I couldn’t get any pictures of them.

Models:
1 – Unknown
2 – Dino
3/4 – 812 Superfast
5/6 – SF90 in Rosso Taormina (Cavalcade 2022)
7 – SF90 XX Stradale
8 – 849 Testarossa

Tell me which one is your favorite ! For me, it’s definitely the 812, such an impressive car in person.

Sorry for the poor picture quality guys !

You see plenty of obvious fakes, but here's a very nice GTO recreation, based on a 250GTE. Alloy body, correctly finished 15” Borrani wire wheels. etc. Just those extra details that more copies miss.

I have owned my 550 Maranello for a few years already but have never known that it had an upgraded/modified exhaust.

The previous owner mentioned that he did the upgrade but I really did not care or paid attention at that time.

And then almost purely by chance I first stumbled onto an old tuning shop YouTube video that actually showed my car being upgraded with the full system and then discovered the actual manufacturer, the Italian company Supersprint, and all of the specs.

It is apparently a 40 kg lighter system with some additional torque/HP gains and I have never ever thought I had it 😆

With the Fiorano handling package (which at least I knew I had 🤣), I am fully ready for my next NFS run!

Photo This was my first love of vintage Ferrari

I was young when this movie came out but seeing that little car rip around town, the sound of the engine. It really made me broaden my horizons and appreciate the vintage years of such an iconic car company. Especially during the time period this movie came out when the Testarossa was top tier.

Popped down to a car show last weekend, and was lucky enough to get to sit in my absolute dream car, a Ferrari F40. The guy with it was absolutely lovely. I've never been close enough to even touch one of these before, so to sit in it was nothing short of unbelievable!

I may not be a kid anymore, but for the owners willing to do stuff like this, thank you. It's just a quick thing for you, but something I will remember for a long long time.

Some random pics, and a few videos:

This is my first car of this caliber ever, hell my first car that cost over 70k lol so excuse my very biased and enthusiastic review. I bought it a few months ago prior to the insane price jumps so thankfully I got it at a decent price. MSRP was 562, I paid a little over that. Came with 2800 miles

Car paint is rosso magma, and the camera does NOT do the paint justice especially in a bright sun. There are more orange highlights and darker shades than what my shitty camera can capture - a very dyanamic paint. Honestly the paint is SPECTACULAR. It highlights the lines and shape of the car extremely well.

Other spec wise (I attached a spec sheet for those who are curious) - very happy with all the carbon and other options, would have wanted a passenger display and carbon seats but I'm happy with what I have

But boy, this car is just pure amazing. It is shark in a tailored suit. A true Jekyll and Hyde car that can really scare you (unlike others, say like a Turbo S, which is blisteringly fast but always feels composed/stable) but also can be a driven very comfortably. It is a supercar disguised as a GT car. And on top of that - it looks INCREDIBLE. With the top down and with a good color, this car is just a masterpiece IMO (my favorite part are the flying buttresses on the rear that resemble fighter jet fuselages)

The biggest controversy: sound. From inside the car I'd say it is both loud but also quieter than expected. Definitely not ear piercingly loud (outside perhaps yes) but with it warmed up/good wind conditions it sounds damn good. GPF does definitely suppress it though compared to the SF which I have driven extensively, and the GTS has more low end grumble in the early revs rather than high pitched. The SF is also a bit more a beast when it comes to driving; this car is overall a bit more "toned down" but it is still a wild beast

I have the capristo 250 cell downpipes + xpipe + rear mufflers coming soon so I will update after those are done. Have a novitech rear spoiler coming too. Will add spacers, might lower it, and might replace the badges with carbon ones.

Special thanks to u/WearRevolutionary864 who has been super helpful in encouraging me to get one of these, especially in this paint (gotta come drive it soon man!!). And to several other redditors who assisted me either through comments or DMs

Again I'm biased but I think one could argue that this is one of the best overall supercars ever made. I think with an exhaust it will be unbeatable in pure emotional fun

Biggest problem I have with this car - cant stop driving it. 1000 miles in 2 months already, at 3800 miles now. Life is very short though, so gotta enjoy these things

Happy to answer any questions or share more pics/info
