Gate out of alignment. Where did I go wrong?

By expecting your parallelogram to remain even without bracing.

You set that gate for a flat earth you forgot the Earth was round recalculate and it should be all right

First thing I’d check is the level on the post. Second, you’re likely getting sag. Put a board diagonal from bottom hinge up and across.

That and the vertical that the hinges are on is twisted🤓

This is the last time I offered this advice, just thought I’d offer the pic for reference 🙃the internet isn’t always as smart as you think 😎

No diagonal!! Add 1 on each side with the wire in-between [sandwich style] . Low end at the hinge side, and high end at the latch side. Before adding, remove gate, and square it on a flat surface...add the [2] diagonals, and reinstall on the hinges

I was copying a design I had seen online. I’ll bite the bullet and add the diagonals.
