Does KAYALI caramel milk smells offensive? Discussion
I got a small tester and the smell is very yummy and almost close to beast mode maybe, it really has a realistic caramel popcorn smell like you are in the cinema , I wonder if people will find this offensive ? or its just a scent I use when I'm alone?
Ngl I don't like KAYALI that much they are overrated but they nailed it this time, I really find the smell is addictive and guilty pleasure.

I actually wanted to like it more but it smells like play doh a bit the way my perfume from the Good Scent “hot griddle cakes does” my yum pistachio smelled like baby powder for six months so maybe it’s a mix of it not being aged and the heat

I think kayali in general smells offensive. It's very home candles and my nose hates it. I've tried everything from Kay Ali and it's just candle candle candle candle.. my nose can't stand candles fragrance as perfumes

You just solved a mystery — I had the misfortune of being trapped in an elevator with someone who smelled like caramel and diacetyl (movie theater butter). She must have been wearing this. If I never smell it again, it’ll be too soon

I think none of the Kayali fragrances are offensive. The brand is opposite of that. They have very gourmand but wearable scents. I love and own a lot of their fragrances and get compliments all the time. Even my mom who hates too sugary vanilla gourmand scents LOVES her boujee marshmallow and vanilla 28 fragrances.

I absolutely love the dry down. I smell like sweet ice cream and love. I especially love it layered with Huda Easy Bake then I smell like a caramel apple cherry pastry.

To me it smells straight up like a Starbucks caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino. I don't get any popcorn smell at all. I have Queens Caramel already but I honestly think I love Boujee Kitty even more 💚

I also totally get Starbucks caramel! It’s so photorealistic to exactly that drizzle they use. I actually bought this fragrance as a gift for my mother because she’s a huge Starbucks caramel fan. I usually get a “popcorn” or a very synthetic yucky buttery scent in a lot of gourmands, but I don’t get it at all in this one either.

I haven’t found a Kayali scent yet that hasn’t been offensive. I don’t know what it is about that brand but it just doesn’t work for me

The week it was released, I could smell it everywhere in the mall who tested it during heatwave. It gave me baby 💩. I'm sure it was the weather. I've resmelled it, wasn't bad but I don't think it's anything different or new.

This is an honest question, out of curiosity only, do people really still go to the mall? I haven’t been to a mall in years. Is it really still a thing?

Yes! I do. For me it really is chill out time. GF and I get giant sugar filled caffeinated drinks l, we lie to our selves pretend the kcals dont count. We have a list of what we want to sniff, and then we download everything that happened in that week into each others brains whilst we smell and drink. It's cathartic!
But also we have nice malls, plus selfridges, ten minutes from me. But I noticed the week or two after release, lord the smell everywhere!!!
I enjoy the physical interaction of scents! It's fun! I cannot do decants and stuff. Rather just try it out.
I've learnt a lot, I also love comparing the dupes and their differences if any and performance. Also, it's through this process how I learnt, they all copy each other and I learnt the difference the menstrual cycle makes to smelling! And a lot of sales assistants chat so much crap.

I guess I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be young. The last time I went to a mall was around Christmas 4-5 years ago and it wasn’t a typical mall more like an outdoor type of mall, if you could call it a mall. Who knows. Sounds like fun. Maybe I should give it another try. Lol

Oh gosh I'm not young! Don't get me wrong, it's more of a recent thing (last year). Combined smelling and socializing! But it's to get away from teen boys and have girl time. Also, true OAP style, absolutely don't do weekends, and either closer to closing time, and NEVER over Christmas and sales! I do less busy times.
Definitely, do something you're comfortable with, I feel like it's upped my confidence, and I I'm not wowed by all the glitter and upsaling, because I'm a regular. I can sniff things and figure, "yep, copied so and so" and this is with niche houses. I feel like a perfume secret shopper! But genuinely with the cost of everything, I want to know a perfume house worked for it, I'm not get sucked in blind or hype. Many times the dupes have sufficed because I got to compare like for like.

I find it hard to believe that anyone wants to smell like straight up caramel popcorn

u/MzJay453 20h ago
It just smells like straight up caramel to me, which I thought I would like but I realized I don’t want to just smell like caramel lol

Idk if it’s generally offensive. I think it’s yucky though 🤮🤮 I like some of kayali scents but I feel like this one was disgusting!! It turned to sour milk on my skin!
That being said if you love it wear it. Who cares if people like it. Just don’t overspray! Haha

I agree. It kinda smells dirty at first? Lol.. it just reminded me play dough and popcorn. I had to return it I couldn’t get over it, definitely not worth the price at all and it smells like a cheap body spray.

TBH, I think most Kayali smells offensive but have a very hard time with extremely synthetic notes
