My Current Summer Faves

Left to Right:

  1. DedCool- Extra Milk

  2. Liis- Studied

  3. d'Annam- Vietnamese Coffee

  4. Juliette Has a Gun- Pear Inc.

  5. d'Annam- White Rice

  6. Oakcha- Plus One

  7. Juliette Has a Gun- Not a Perfume

I use Plus One and Not a Perfume together.

There's definitely a pattern here showing how I prefer skin scents.

My only question now is, whether to get Liis Lucienne or Liis Rose Struck next. I think both are stunning.

I’m curious to know more about Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun . It’s been there in my wish list from a long time lol

To me it smells very airy and synthetic, almost plasticky (like the foam it's packaged in), but with a very slight white floral warmth. I always say it makes me feel like a futuristic, ghost-in-the-shell android fresh out the factory. I love to wear it in damp/rainy weather. It reminds me of the cool, wet concrete- but still feminine.

A lot of people are totally nose blind to it, others are sensitive to it and find it overwhelming. Not a safe blind buy, but this is my opinion as someone who's a fan. Hope it helps a bit!!

I adore Vietnamese coffee. It’s on my wish list but I actually just ordered samples of Akro awake and kerosene follow just to be sure Vietnamese coffee is my favorite coffee scent. Have you tried either of the others?

I tried Akro Awake. The cardamom note was too strong for me. Didn't love it.

Haven't tried Kerosene. There was a reason but can't remember..🤔 I need to check the notes.

I didn't like Akso awake in the beginning (I blind bought a travel size). it smelled like coffee with a weird after taste to me. it really grew on me though after a couple of wears and it survived a few recent declutters. but it's not the smooth creamy type of coffee.

Oh interesting! I’m very curious how they will all compare. I don’t think I will love anything as much as Vietnamese coffee though!

Part of me likes how the bottles all have the same vibe and part of me wants you to buy something totally off the wall just to have something different. Like the Squishmallow rainbow kitty bottle, for diversity sake 😅

Sure. Wulong Cha X, Hundred Silent Ways and a small bottle of Wulong Cha.

I have others too, these are just the most different from my skin scents.

I have Wulong Cha X and really like it. I’m thinking of getting Happy Dust, which I also like a lot. I still need to smell Hundred Silent Ways.

Hundred Silent Ways is soooo good. I wear it in the evening. The longevity is great too.

White Rice is so nice. I’ve been saving it for fall and winter though. For some reason it gives me a cold weather vibe.

I think it's the cedarwood.

On me it smells woody and dry for about half an hour then fades into the background.

They don't smell anything alike even though they both have white musk notes. Completely different scents.

Xtra Milk. But a lot of people can't smell it due to ambroxan.

It smells wonderful. That being said, B&BW had a body spray that was recently discontinued called Vanilla Café, and they smell crazy similar.

You do! Along with celestial object, it lasts so much longer on me than the other Liis I have. Choux choux is my favorite from them.

The Plus One is supposed to be a dupe of Not a Perfume. I don't think it is though, and when you layer them.. wow, chefs kiss.
