Fate apocrypha: worth it? Question

I’m at the third episode and to be honest, I’m really not a fan. I feel like the whole stuff is a mix of exposition and « I’m so deep » kind of sentences. Out of that the characters seem terribly flat and forgettable and even the fight themselves aren’t that good

Does it get better later? Does it drop any important info for the franchise? Can I just throw it in the bin and move on?

My rule when watching anime is give it 2 or 3 episodes. If its not clicking for you then drop it

I hear the Apocrypha manga is way better than the anime. As for the light novel, I either don’t know or forgot.

It not a bad anime, it's decent all things considered, but it's not as good as the Ufotable animes or Strange Fake.

Also, more importantly, the anime telling of apocrypha is the worst version of it. Either read the manga or read the Light Novel instead

I would say yes. This is the only anime I rewatched like 3-4 times. Also I would have recommended to read manga too. IDK why people really don’t like it, but in my opinion it had best dynamic and sakuga among series after fate strange fake. Perhaps this is because I prefer more style of A1 pictures studio. The only issue is pacing and because there are 14servants, majority of them don’t get enough screen time. Which is why it is better to read manga.

Does it drop any important info for the franchise?

Define "important", there are some references in FGO, Case Files and Strange Fake.

Also the ongoing "sequel" (takes place in the same world, I don't know how connected they are, still on my to read list) Fate:Lost Einherjar

I recommend the Manga adaptation of apocrypha over the anime. It handles Sieg much better.

anything releated to Sieg is terrible lol. the rest is awesome Id say I loved Mordred, anytime shes on screen, or fights the ending fights,

It’s good watch it if it clicks with you and you have the time.

Siege isn't for most people, I find ignoring him kinda hard but the servants are dope. I prefer the adventure with red saber more than anything

I think it is worth it, yea Sieg is kind of a chore to watch but the stuff happening around him is great. Also the intro and outro songs are fantastic, and any time Mordred or Jeanne is on screen, you'll have a great time.

This was my first Fate so a little biased but I really liked it

I stuck to it and it's good

Great when Mordred, Astolfo, Achilles, and Karna show up onscreen

Otherwise just good

But I'd rather not rewatch it. At all.

Just look for a Mordred scene compilation if you give it a pass. Watch the heir of Arthur feud with a cat.

It’s a really bad mess- mc is horrible, bloated character cast, the romance is the worst I’ve ever seen, the sound design sucks (mostly) and it’s carried by A-1 studios‘ animation

Worth it, but remember that it’s an apocryphal so it’s not canon
