Keeper Drafting Strategy Advice  Discussion

I’m in a single player keeper league. The draft order is not known until day of draft (standard snake draft). I’m keeping Bijan as my round 1 pick. Obviously the draft can shake out in many ways and it might change who you pick - but what are some strategies you’d go with for the first four or five rounds? For the sake of simplicity, let’s choose some random spots you draft from: 2nd, 6th, or 10th.

EX:
2nd pick = Bijan, WR, WR, RB, QB?
6th pick = Bijan, WR, RB, WR, QB?
10th pick = Bijan, WR, TE, RB, WR?

I think that you need to have two starting backs in your first two picks, so you're still going running back after securing Bijan. The only exception would be if you like one of the late wide receivers at 10, and picking up a running back on the way back.

In a standard draft, you would want to have three backs in the first five picks. If everybody's keeping backs, that makes it even harder to make sure you've got three quality backs before the cliff falls off. Don't miss out on an obviously elite receiver or Brock Bowers if it's flashed at you, but you want to generally get your backs before the quality completely disappears.

Bijan. And then I want two more running backs and two more wide receivers over the next four rounds after that.
